i was excited.
dallas was coming here in a mere five minutes for our date and the butterflies in my stomach just wouldn't go away.
i was wearing a navy blue sundress with sandals and i looked in the mirror putting on my diamond stud earrings.
my mother would definitely approve.
i heard the doorbell ring and the door open.
as i headed down the stairs i could hear my dad and dallas talking.
"mr. stevens, words can not describe how thankful i am too you."
"dallas, your a good kid and my daughter seems to have an infatuation with you. just repay me back by taking good care of her."
"of course."
i went over toward them, staring at dallas, a smile hanging from my face.
he was wearing a black button up, with his sleeves rolled up, a pair of black jeans and chucks.
he looked good.
really good.
"picture time."
"are serious dad?"
"yes. my daughter is growing up, i need to capture the moment."
dallas grabbed my hand, grinning, showing his pearly teeth.
my dad snapped the picture as we stood together.
"dad. we're leaving."
"have fun, i love you indie."
"i love you too dad."
we walked out the front door, dallas opening the passenger door for me. he got into his seat and stayed silent for a while, not doing anything.
"dallas?"
he stayed silent concentrating.
"okay, i'll admit, i'm a little nervous and you look extremely gorgeous right now and i'm babbling, i just don't really do this often and yeah."
he let out a breath, his cheeks red.
"dallas, are you blushing?"
"shut up."
i giggled and looked out the widow curious to where we were going.
"where we going?"
"do you trust me?"
i thought for a moment.
"yes."
he smiled.
"good."
