(A/N: I'm currently typing this on y computer. If you are on a hand held device, it might be longer paragraphs. I liked the writing style in my last chapter, but I can't do that without a phone. I don't really like typing on here, but I'm bored so oh well.)

"I'm sorry." Hayes said a bit embarrassed. He looked down at the table and you let your eyes wander around the room. "Don't be." I said looking back at him. He looked into my eyes and smiled. I really hate being mad at him. Lana walked over to us, and I looked up at her.

"Could you stop already?" Lana asked in an annoyed voice. "Stop what?" I asked. She flipped her hair. "Hayes, are you really going to let her talk to me that way?" She asked- well demanded. "Talk to you in what way?" I asked. She glared at me. "Lana, calm down." Hayes said standing up to pull her into a hug. "I'm sorry, babe. I don't know what got into me." Lana said with a sigh.

She looked at me again. "I'm sorry, Olivia." Lana said with a smile so fake that Barbie would be jealous.

I did my best to pretend that it was a real apology. "It's okay." I mumbled and looked at Hayes. Lana smiled at him and she walked away.

I started to tear up. Hayes sat back down next to me.

"You okay?" Hayes asked. I nodded slightly. "She didn't mean it, Liv." Hayes said. I nodded again. Hayes was allowing Lana to treat me like crap. He should breakup with her. But, that was a selfish thought. I'm just jealous. I know that I am. Being his friend is really hard. Wait, am I even his friend? This boy is confusing me. Or am I just confusing myself?

I did my best to hold back tears.

And then the worst thing that could happen did.

A tear rolled down my check.

I brushed it away as quickly as I could, but it was no us. Hayes saw me cry. Damn it. "Olivia?" Hayes asked as he rubbed my back gently. I whipped under my eyes. "Excuse me for a second." I said. I walked over to the teacher's desk, not really thinking.

"May I help you?" She asked. "I'd like a new partner." I said.

I saw him out of the corner of my eye. Hayes was standing there. And he had just heard what I had said.

"So would I." Hayes said.

My heart shattered into a million pieces.

(A/N: Since I wrote a long chapter before, this is going to be the end of this one. I don't really like it because I think I made them talk to formally for 15 ye
