Chapter 19

*Dileep Pov*

"What do you mean you don't know where your wives are?" I heard Mom's voice while climbing down the stairs rubbing my neck.

"They must have gone out." Dad offered by the time I stood beside them.

"The two women of this house are not here, and no one knows where are they. One son is in hangover while the other was just sleepy. Do you think you all are still kids?" She shouted at three of us.

When everyone stilled in their stance hearing her raised voice, which doesn't happen and that too for Tajwar Bhai at present, we heard the front door opening and turned to see Nipuna and Mridula entering the house.

"Where were you both?" Dad asked them when Mom didn't even open her mouth for a second.

Nipuna turned towards Mom with a frown and then at us before saying, "We were with Amrin in Dileep's flat."

"What?" I mumbled along with Aahil and Dad while Tajwar Bhai just frowned.

"Yes!" Nipuna replied while Mridula stayed silent.

"We will just go." She added, and they both walked away.

"No one of you should forget that there is a wife in your life, and she is your responsibility." Mom said after they left and walked away.

I walked across the lawn and called Amrin immediately to which she lifted within the second ring and said, "I know that you will call me as soon as they return."

"Why didn't you tell me that they were with you? And why were they? Is there any problem?" I asked her frowning.

"You said you will be busy right, and I didn't force them to come with me. You have to ask them the reason. Anyway, I have some work, so I will talk later." She replied, hanging up while I paced in the lawn.

"Coffee!" I heard a sound and turned to see Nipuna holding a cup.

"Thank you!" I said, frowning and added, "Why were you with Amrin?"

"To tell her that it is better to forget someone who disrespects her and fall for someone who has respect for her." She replied shrugging when I took a sip making me cough.

"What?" I asked her thinking she is just joking.

"Yes! And she seems to understand my words too." She replied folding her arms.

"I never disrespected her." I said, shaking my head.

"Really? That is a surprise to me." She said mockingly and just walked away while I stared at her in shock.

"Where are you, Amrin? It is nearly nine." I said, staring at the clock with a frown.

"I have some extra work to finish today, Dileep. I will try to finish it soon." She replied, and I shook my head when she hung up.

I stepped outside the flat and asked the driver to take me where he drops Amrin everyday. She will not come to house alone at this time of the day.

"Amrin!" I said, knocking on the door to the room where she seemed to be staying to do her work.

"Dileep?" She asked, surprised opening the door and smiled at me.

"What are you doing here?" She asked, stepping outside the room.

"It is really late, Amrin. How will I allow you to return alone at this time?" I asked her back brushing her cheek.

"Amrin! I need some rest so you better finish this work soon." I heard a male voice and turned to see a guy who must be in thirties stepping outside the room.
