Chapter 14

*Nipuna Pov*

"What happened to you? You are acting weird from past a few days." Aahil's question brought me out of my thoughts and made me frown at him.

"What do you mean?" I asked while playing my fingers on his chest and moved my head to adjust more on his shoulder.

"You are suddenly staring at me in the middle out of nowhere." He replied, and I raised my eyebrow at him.

"So, do only guys get to stare at the girls and not the reverse?" I asked him.

"Of course! I realize why you are staring. Because I am so handsome right?" He asked in a teasing tone.

"If only that were true." I said, sighing dramatically and he rolled his eyes.

"Ok! I will go and get ready for the meeting." I said, getting up and saw him nodding at me.

After getting ready, I turned to see him stretching his arms out and moving to get down. I walked near to him and kissed him before walking away feeling the warmth increasing, which didn't stop for the past few days.

I am in a pretty big trouble! I thought thinking about how I am feeling about him now and wish there is no wrong side in this. If there is, then I will kill him for sure.

"So, what do you guys think?" I asked the members after explaining the new idea to bring in funds.

"Why do you think it will be successful?" One member asked.

"Because this is not a new innovative idea to have failures. Many organizations conduct some functions to collect the funds, and we will do the same, but we will go into the talents like singing, dancing and much more but not a single thing." I explained.

"We will run it through Mr.Vishwanth." Another member said.

"I am sure he will like it and there is no hurry." I said taking the folder away.

"Why are you so confident?" One of them asked, and I can see them thinking regarding how any husband would accept his wife's proposal.

"If it helps the organization, then why would he not accept it." I mumbled before walking away and walked towards the car.

"Hello!" I said harshly lifting the call.

"Looks like someone is in a bad mood." I heard the comment from the other side.

"Chaitra! How are you?" I asked her feeling all anger leaving me.

"I am fine! So, tell me what happened?" She asked, and I shook my head.

"Nothing important!" I replied, and we started talking before she suddenly went silent.

"There is a reason I called, Nipuna." She calmly said, and I frowned at her wary voice.

"What is it?" I asked her, hoping there is nothing dangerous.

"Lalith is behind me to get you talk to him. He is saying that it is really important. I am vexed with his pushing." She explained.

"Is he mad? I already told him I do not want to have a word with him. What does he even want now?" I asked, shaking my head.

"I know! Why don't you meet him and finish whatever he wants to say?" She offered.

"No, Chaiitra! It is at best if I don't meet him. Warn him off or something, but I will not meet him." I said, and she sighed understanding before we both hung up.

"What happened?" Aahil asked when I lay on the bed thinking about Chaitra's call.

"Nothing!" I replied, smiling and drifted off into sleep lying in his hold.
