Mariah PoV:
"So what you guys doin' for the holidays?" Zo asked me as I closed my locker.
"Ion know actually. Think we all goin' ta my grandparents place, what bout you?" I asked ha.
"Hopefully my dads gonna be off work, so we can spend time together... if not, then I'll prolly go to my aunts" she said causing my smile to fade. Zoe's mom died when Zoe was 2, in 9/11. She doesn't like talking about it too much, but since her mothers death, her dad became a workaholic and didn't really pay attention to her, that's why she's comes to my house a lot. I feel so sad anytime she mentions her mom or dad, cuz I couldn't imagine not having my mama or dad.
"Anyways...you wanna go Christmas shopping after school?" I asked ha as we walked to class.
"Sure," she said as we reached my math class.
"I'll meet you by our lockers after class" she said as I headed into the class.
"Bye"

"Babe, can you get me my soup" Jaxon yelled from upstairs.
He's been sick for the past 2
days and he is such a big baby. He always whining about how he wanna cuddle and he want soup, to be honest, it's kinda cute, but I ain't tryna catch it too.
"Okay honey" I yelled from the kitchen.
I poured the chicken noodle soup in the bowl, put it on a tray then carried it upstairs along with a paper towel.
"Thanks Dee," he said puttin' the spoon in his mouth.
"It's H..."
"Ahhhh, it's fucking hot" he said putting the tray on the table.
"I was about to tell you that" I said shaking my head.
"Blow it for me, please" he said giving me puppy dog eyes.
"What's wrong with yo mouth?" I asked lookin' at him.
"Please baby" he said resting his head.
"Erghh fine" I said picking up the bowl and blowin the soup.

"Today we have a new student joining the class, Alisha you can sit in front of Jaxon over there" Mrs Roberts pointed at the empty desk.
Alisha nodded and made her was over here. She looked hot, I ain't gon lie. She caught me staring at her as she made her way to the seat, so she smiled at me, showing her dimples then concentrated on what Mrs Roberts was sayin'.
"Okay class. Your all gonna be doing a project in pairs that will last 5 weeks. You can base the assignment on anything you want that we've learnt in the past year. You must include a question and answers from different perspectives. Oh and lastly...You must work with the opposite sex, as I've noticed girls usually partner with girls and the same for boys. Use this lesson to plan." she said then sat back at her desk.
"I saw Alisha looking around as guys and girls paired up, so I took this as my opportunity."
"Hey, Aleena right? wanna be my partner?" D'Andre, some random guy in the class said looking her up and down.
What the hell, I was gon ask her ta be ma partner, now this nigga rushed here to ask her and he ain't even get her name right.
"First off, it's Alisha. And sorry but I've got a partner" she said motionin' ta me.
"Oh, aight. Sorry" he said walkin' off.
"Why you say no ta him?" I said laughin'
"Cuz I knew you were gonna ask me, and at least you would get my name right" she said smilin'.
"Aight fairs, but what you wanna do foe the project?"
"Well, what you guys learnt this year?" she asked.
"Umm...We did cultural appropriation, mental health, gender inequality, effects of environment and race on culture and sum other shit. What you feel like doin'?" I asked.
"Well...we could do cultural appropriation or the effects of environmental and race on culture sounds interesting" she said gettin' out ha notepad and pen.
"Aight" I said juss watchin' ha write a load of stuff down. She so beautiful. Damn.

Since Jaxon cry baby ass is sick, I decided ta pick the kids up from school, then imma go meet ma mom. Jaxon knows about me and her being in contact now, but I ain't told tha kids yet. I plan on inviting her and her family for dinner at our place next Sunday, but imma need ta tell them befoe hand. I also need ta tell daddy, ion know how he gon take it, but it ain't like I can hide it from him.
