"This is crazy Lara" Zip commented sipping away at an ice cold beer. Winston sat to Lara's right while she leaned over one of the tables with the blue prints all noted on with a thick blackboard marker. Her eyes watched Zip type away at the keyboard unmoved with her arms crossed firmly over her chest. The weather outside clouded just as their minds were currently, clouds moved over the blue horizon in thick clusters unsure whether it was going to be dripping frail raindrops or shower them with a lightning storm.

"Then how do you suggest I reach the volt?" Lara asked him annoyed pointing to the closed off room farthest from the reception of the grand party. Zip brought up his own version of the blue prints on the largest monitor above him overlaid with the schematics for the sewer system.

"Under is way better than blowing your way through. Security will be on you before you even reach the compass" Zip told her, his muscled arms bulging as he mirrored her stance and leaned backwards in his chair.

"That's why you need to hack into their systems and shut off the security inside the vault" she argued, poor Winston watched them worriedly. Alistair had always been the one to calm the fire, not that the argument was fatal but truth be told Zip always subtly blamed Lara for never mourning and Lara had been agitated ever since her feud with Natla had ended in the Norse underworld.

"if you can get me inside the mainframe I can get you inside the vault without you blowing the whole place to the ground" Zip turned his chair and typed away, the monitor zoomed in on a security booth on the second floor, far from the basement entrance to the expensive and extra secure vault.

"Fine" Lara sighed gaining full control over the annoyance boiling under her skin "then I need to make my way to this room" Lara motioned to the luxurious study not too far from the reception of the party "it overlooks the cliff, there won't be any security from there on upwards, they'd never suspect anyone to reach them from below" Zip had to admit, it wasn't the worst idea they'd come up with yet.

"Okay let's say your brilliant idea gets you to the security booth, sooner or later they'll notice one of the world's most renowned archeologists had left the party but no one saw her leave the premises. They'll get suspicious, how are you planning on getting all the way down to the basement" Lara was at a loss for words, she leaned down and looked at the blue prints truly baffled. Zip stood up, walked over and as if on cue both their gazes locked on the solution.

"The ducts" they said simultaneously pointing to the air duct leading from the second story all the way to the basement, just outside the vault "it's perfect" Lara told them smirking. Winston smiled brightly "I'll get us some tea" Zip made a motion to stop the butler who held up his finger to silence him "yes I do know you prefer a beer sir" and walked off towards the spacious kitchen, finally something had woken the tomb raider within the broken shell of the girl he had grown to love as if she were his own daughter. But an aching nausea made him think something terribly bad was going to happen, needless to say he pushed it aside and blamed it on nervousness for the heist to come.

"This is crazy kid" Sully and Nathan both leaned casually over the table at his apartment, blue prints sprawled out along with the photos and their own pile of research overlaying the plans.

"It isn't" Nathan disagreed pointing to the schematics of the sewer system running underneath the mansion "I just need get to this courtyard" he pointed to the courtyard in the middle of the property, one of the places on the vast expanse of land with the most security guards "and from there on end we're rich. Cha ching" Nathan motioned as if he had pulled the lever on one of the slots machines at the casino with a big, cocky smirk.

"how are you planning to reach the goddamn courtyard Nate? It's in the middle of the hot zone" Sully complained smoking away at the cigar that only moments ago Nathan had complained was stinking up the place.

"Oh come on Sully have a little faith" Nathan pointed to a parachute backpack on carelessly thrown on the thick cushions of the sofa next to the tux he had rented for the oncoming evening. Even Sully had rented a tux if he ever had to go inside and bail his partner out if things went terribly wrong, which it most likely would. As it always did.

"And where are you planning to land?" Sully wasn't easily convinced, as always, but deep down he knew he was going to get tangled in the whole affair anyway. Even if there was a gnawing feeling in the pit of his stomach telling him there was something far bigger at play.

"Right here" Nathan's finger brushed against one of the many photos where the Cliffside could clearly be seen, it was dangerous but with a little bit of his famous luck it'd be perfectly possible to make a rocky landing and sneak his way inside without an invitation.

"This might actually work kid" Sully commented proudly and easily killed the cigar against the thick glass ashtray with a smirk.

"Right" Nathan agreed "from there I only need to sneak my way outside and inside the sewer system to reach the vault" he sat down on the chair to his right and leaned forward with his chin in his hands thoughtfully.

"And once you're inside?" Sully asked him "and where the hell am I going to be?" Sully himself sat down on one of the chairs opposite Nate with his arms crossed over the wooden surface.

"One" Nathan held up one finger "I've taken a look at the security measures inside, the only thing I have to worry about are motion sensors, easily avoidable and opening the display case won't be a problem. Trust me" Nathan held up another finger alongside the first "and second, you're in the getaway car outside the property just beside another manhole from which I will emerge victorious" Nathan looked at Sully seriously as he chuckled at the plan.

"This is crazy" the familiar words left a smirk on Sully's face as he cut off the tip of the next cigar "I like it" he exclaimed. Nathan and Sully smacked their beers together before taking a good long moment to savor the peace of the moment before night fell upon them. Little did they know that what they were about to do was going to set a sequence of actions into play that'll cost them nearly everything, including their lives.
