Blair's POV
I woke up on the couch.
Really?
Really?
I go upstairs to find Aidan snuggled in bed. I go over and slap the back of his head playfully.
"What the hell?" I say a little annoyed.
"What?" He asks smirking.
"You just left me downstairs." I say getting more annoyed.
"Well you looked so cute I didn't want to move you." He says smiling.
"Sure." I say. I pick our clothes and go into the bathroom to get changed. I throw on the clothes and come out to Aidan sitting on the bed. Looking tired.
"I'm sorry." He says.
"It's fine I'm going on a run I'll be back" I say putting my hair up into a pony. I walk over and give him a kiss on the cheek.
He grabs my forearm and pulls me back into a hug.
"Be safe please." He says.
"No promises." I say smiling.
I leave the house and go out the the tree lining. I start stripping and shift. My bones breaking and reshaping themselves. I let out my white fur and let my wolf take over completely. She lets out a loud roar. Then she starts propelling us forward effortlessly.
We've been running for a while doing our rounds checking the patrol groups. We finally come to a small stream. She starts lapping the water up. The breeze picks up and a weird scent enters the air.
Shit!
It was a rouge. My wolf decided to run instead of fight. She pushed us so fast I felt like we didn't even touch the ground. I looked back a little to see three rouges hot on our tail. My wolf kept pushing. I looked forward an a gray wolf charged to my side. It jumped and I ducked but not low enough. The rouge slammed into my side. I got up shaking my head a little. I lunged at the wolf and sunk my teeth into its neck. I knew I couldn't let go even though the wolf thrashed underneath me. The wolf tore up my left leg. But soon enough the wolf laid limp. I put up my barrier because I wasn't strong enough to take on the other three due to my torn up leg. When they realized they couldn't get in they eventually left. I kept the barrier up just in case and tried to limp back to the pack. I got as far as I could before the back started to take over due to the loss of blood. I almost backed out before my wolf smelt our mate pick us up and run us to the pack Doctor. Then everything went black.
