Arabella's POV

I am sitting on the window seat in the Women's Room after breakfast with some of the other girls whenever Isabella and her minions, Anabella and Jayden, walk in with their 'good news.'

"The Prince kissed me!" Isabella squeals, making me automatically nauseous. Some girls in the room gasp and squeal, going to sit with Isabella to hear all about.

"Little does she know, you got the first," Elizabeth says, laughing. I roll my eyes.

"Let her brag. It means it was nothing special." Amie agrees.

"What do you mean?" I ask her, curious.

"Well, if it was really a special moment, she would want to keep it for herself, or maybe she would only tell her little brats that follow her everywhere. She wouldn't want everyone to know, because then she wouldn't have it to herself. It'd be everyone's moment. Like how you only told us that you were each other's first kiss: it was special to you."

"That's really smart."

"Did you expect me to say something dumb?" She laughs.

"Of course not, but anything to do with her isn't usually that deep."

"True!" Amie agrees, making everyone laugh.

My group of friends small talks about the news, home life, etc. but I am stuck in my head. I can't help but be a little jealous. The only thing I hate about The Selection is that we are forced to share the prince. I know I've only known him for about a week, but I really like him.

"Earth to Arabella," Liz says, getting my attention.

"Hmm?"

"Look!" She says, pointing out the window behind me. I turn to see what everyone is looking at. The king is on a four-wheeler, speeding around the open yard. I see the two princes standing to the side, cheering him on.

"I can't believe he was serious," I say, maybe a bit too loud in the quiet room.

"What?" Arianna asks from another couch.

"Oh, um, on Prince Carlisle and I's first date, he said he would ask his dad for a four-wheeler since I apparently made him want one. I didn't think he was serious." I turn to look back out of the window to see Auggie jump on it, taking off through the yard. I look over and see Carlisle looking at us through the window. He smiles and turns to stop a butler near him. He tells the butler something, and the butler nods, heading into the palace.

Moments later, there is a knock at the door. Isabella, of course, goes to open it, probably thinking the prince is sending for her.

"Prince Carlisle has asked for Lady Arabella to meet him outside."

A look of disgust crosses Isabella's face as I cross the room to go, practically skipping. When we cross paths, she whispers to me: "dumb slut." I merely roll my eyes and rush outside to meet Carlisle. She will not kill my mood again. She's just jealous and trying to get under my skin. I won't let her ruin my day over it.

"Hey!" I say, running up.

"Hey, you wanna ride?" Carlisle asks. I look down at my dress and then back up to him.

"I don't really plan on flashing anyone today, so.." He laughs at my reply and I can't help but smile. His laugh is so adorable.

"I'll walk you up to your room to change." He says, offering me his arm. I gladly accept it, and we begin walking towards the palace.

"So, how'd you sleep last night?" Prince Carlisle asks politely.

"I slept okay. Woke up a few times, but I got enough sleep."
