Arabella's POV:

I rush back to my room after having just shoveled my food down for supper.
I ate way too much so if I have a nervous breakdown tonight, it will not end well for my stomach.

When I open the door, my maids basically pull me in. They were so excited when I told them Prince Carlisle had asked me on a date.

"We ran a bath, but you must hurry. There's no telling when he will come." Anne says, pulling me into the bathroom. I strip down and climb into the bathtub. The water is the perfect temperature and smells like lavender. There are also rose petals floating around. I am getting way too spoiled here already.

We all try to guess what the prince is taking me to do. I quickly bathe, and then I reluctantly get out. The water felt so good, but now I'm freezing. I dry off and pull on some fresh underwear and a bra, while my girls rush around getting everything they need.

Leah pulls me into the chair and starts on my hair. She makes lots of loose curls that hit right at my shoulders. Barbara does my makeup this time, putting on a thin layer of foundation, concealer, setting powder, blush, and a burgundy matte lipstick. She does a blush-colored eyeshadow on my lid, blending it with a shade closer to my lipstick for the crease and outer corner.

We rush, nervous the prince will be here before we finish. I ate as fast as I could and was the first one to leave, so hopefully, we have time. I think he also knows I will want to have time to get ready.

Leah pulls me into the bedroom when the others are finished with my hair and makeup. The dress I picked out is a burgundy dress with a sweetheart neckline and lace sleeves and lace covering the chest. It also has diamond-shaped cutouts on the hips that have lace on them. I wear a pair of black heels with this beautiful dress.  Looking in the mirror, I look like a very dolled-up version of myself. I think the main thing throwing me off is that I am radiating excitement and confidence.

I spray on my perfume from home, hoping he will like it. It's Warm Vanilla Sugar from Bath and Body Works, a rare treat I got as a birthday gift.

I decide to play the piano until he comes, knowing it will distract me from the wait.

Sitting down, I look through the music. I went to the library earlier and printed out some music that wasn't so...classical. Don't get me wrong, I love the classics, but it feels good to play some more modern music, too.

I begin playing Perfect by One Direction.

"I might never be your knight in shining armor
I might never be the one you take home to mother
And I might never be the one who brings you flowers
But I can be the one, be the one tonight

When I first saw you
From across the room
I could tell that you were curious, oh, yeah
Girl, I hope you're sure
What you're looking for
'Cause I'm not good at making promises

But if you like causing trouble up in hotel rooms
And if you like having secret little rendezvous
If you like to do the things you know that we shouldn't do
Baby, I'm perfect
Baby, I'm perfect for you
And if you like midnight driving with the windows down
And if you like going places we can't even pronounce
If you like to do whatever you've been dreaming about
Baby, you're perfect
Baby, you're perfect
So let's start right now

I might never be the hand you put your heart in
Or the arms that hold you any time you want them
But that don't mean that we can't live here in the moment
'Cause I can be the one you love from time to time
