Steve's POV

I sat on the edge of the seat I wanted Natasha to be okay. I didn't know if she was, and that killed me. If she was hurt, I was going to kill the bastard that dared to touch her. I was brought of my thoughts when Thor spoke in his booming voice.

"Captain, we are approaching the landing Zone I will circle the perimeter to see if there are any foes around."

I nod as my thoughts drift back to Natasha and I couldn't help it. I stayed focused on the task but I was ready to punch someone if she was hurt. Clint and I get off as the quinjet lands near the warehouse I could see it and without even thinking twice I started running towards it. I ran as fast as I could towards it, I had to see her and make sure she was okay. I reach the door and don't see anyone around so I open the door and my heart sinks when I see a wounded figure in the room. I run over to her and feel her pulse she was alive but barely. Her back was bleeding and had multiple linear scars and dried blood mixing with the new one, there were 2 bullet holes in her back and one had grazed her arm. She was unconscious I pick her up carefully and carry her back before Clint even makes it to the warehouse.

"She's in really bad shape; we need to get her out of here, now!" I say making my way back to the quinjet with an injured Natasha in my arms. I was so angry, honestly I had no idea how so much anger and rage could accumulate inside a person until now. I sit down and tap my foot for the whole flight back to base. When we arrive I carefully pick Natasha up and carry her personally to the medical unit where they could take better care of her and make a better analysis of her injuries. I sit outside her room with Clint beside me and we just wait in silence for the reality check of how Natasha really is. I was getting a really bad feeling. They walk out of her room with somewhat of a grim expression, which really worried me.

"Is she okay?" I ask eager to know.

"She has sustained a large amount of injuries and some of them are worse than others." They said as they looked from me to Clint.

"Can I see her?" I ask as they nod and move out of the doorway.

I look at her injured body and my heart breaks I wish she would just wake up and smile promising everything was okay but I knew that would have to wait, I wanted to see her emerald eyes looking at me with the usual glow she had in them when she looked at me. I sat in the chair beside the bed, grasped her hand and hoped she would be okay soon.
