After the battle, after the dust settled, there were no sides. It's like the curtain between the sides dropped to the floor. There were no good people and evil people. They were just people.
Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger an the rest of the group chose to return to Hogwarts in order to complete their 7th year.
------------------------
Hermione's POV:It was a bright sunny morning and the sun shone brightly through the windows of the Burrow.
"Come on wake up Harry. RON GET UP!! For the last time boys, we need to pack and get ready. We are leaving in 2 hours" Hermione said as she pulled their blankets off.
"Okay okay Mione, I'm getting up" said Ron as he slowly started to sit up.
Harry on the other hand was up in a flash and started to pack his trunk right away.
"What's the rush Harry?" Ron said while watching the boy.
"Just trying to be punctual" Harry replied. She headed back down to the kitchen after making sure the boys were up. Ginny was already in the kitchen as well as Mr. And Mrs. Weasley setting the table for breakfast.
"Are you excited to go back Hermione?" Ginny asked looking up at stiff girl.
"More or less. I can't wait to start studies again but I am worried that it won't be the same. War changes people Gin. " She replied.
Mrs. Weasley looked up at Hermione and then turned away to occupy herself with finishing the pancakes and setting the pumpkin juice on the table. Harry and Ron came down a few minutes later both showered and dressed.
"Well that was fast. I assume you've packed?" Ms. Weasley asked looking from Harry to Ron.
"Yep." They both replied as they sat down at the table. Ginny and Hermione had been doing the same."One hour until we need to get on our way" announced Mr. Weasley.
They all are in silence and helped clear the table. Then they all grabbed their trunks and headed out the the car.
Before leaving the crowd all said their goodbyes to Mr. Weasley since he would not be able to accompany them because he had to go into the Ministry early.
After the brief car ride they all crossed on to Platform 9 3/4 and said goodbyes to Mrs. Weasley. As we boarded the train I heard Ginny whisper in my ear "he's back". I turned and looked at her. "Who? I asked. "Malfoy"
We had to stop the conversation as we seated ourselves in a compartment with Harry and Ron."So you ready?" Asked Harry expectantly to us as he held Ginny's hand.
"Ready as I'll ever be" replied Ron.
"Yeah same here but I still have a year." Said Ginny as she looked at her and Harry's locked hands."Hermione. What about you?" Harry asked looking at me.
"Huh? Oh I'm ready. But sad how this is my last. But make it your best right?" I said in a quiet voice. We sat in silence until our compartment door was abruptly pulled open. And there he was, Malfoy. Tall, handsome and skinny as can be.
"Um hello Granger. Headmistress McGonnigall has requested that I tell you to meet her in her office tonight after the feast. She has something important to tell you I think" he said as his eyes darted around at the scowling faces looking back at him.
"Oh um okay. Thank you Malfoy" I said.
He gave a small nod and closed the compartment door with another bang."What was that about?" Ask Harry.
"I'm not sure" I reply as I looked down at my hands."I bet she's Head Girl" said Ginny. "Hermione has always been the best and brightest witch of her age. I bet it's you!!"
"But then who is head boy?" Asked Ron skeptically. "Wouldn't Malfoy have said who it was when he stopped by?"
"I don't know. I'm not going to jump to conclusions." I replied in a flustered tone.
If I was Head Girl, then I have a pretty good idea who Head Boy was.A/N: So that was chapter one. I don't have an updating schedule at the moment but I will try to turn out chapters as quickly as I can.
Thank you for reading!
Love, Emily
