This party was loud. Smelt of hot sex which I never thought I would ever smell or know but living with brother who has done my previous friends you would know too. I looked around the place and realised my old home – you know before I was ‘purchased’ by Alex. The place hasn’t changed and I hoped they got rid of pictures of me because I would never want pictures of a family who are dysfunctional – I mean an absent father, drunken mother and sex addict and jackass of a brother (Perfect family. Not!).

Cassie and Gina drag me to the kitchen bringing me back to reality and I gaze around where the kitchen is accompanied by teenagers from my school humping and kissing like there is no tomorrow. “Here,” Cassie throws an orange juice and I raise my eyebrow in questioning.

“So no – one gets drunk and remembers the party unlike our gay friend over there.” Cassie points towards the lounge where Ben is dancing with a guy closely in a drunken manner.

“I guess he got what he wanted,” Gina teased easily, sipping her juice.

The sounds of Will.I.Am’s new song ‘That Power’ featuring Justin Bieber currently blasted through the house causing the floor to slightly vibrate.

“Do you think Alex or anyone is coming?” Gina queried but I and Cassie knew she was asking for Blake and was not disguising in any way so I let Cassie do the talking while I drink my thoughts away about Gina’s question.

“I’m sure they would turn up late as usual, ensuring they get female attention everywhere.”

Gina looked unsettled with that answer and told us she was going to the bathroom to freshen up but Cassie and I knew that she was uncomfortable seeing Blake especially seeing him in a girl’s arm.

Cassie wanted me to dance but I refused – I mean quoting Jessica Simpson’s song ‘these boots are made for walking’ not dancing despite the fact, I’m not wearing any boots just heels. Instead of shaking my booty, I sit on the sofa which is not occupied anyone else causing me to breathe easily – I mean a lot of people against me makes me to feel uneasy. Among the midst of people dancing in this case (humping, grinding or kissing) - I noticed a flock of dark brown hair matching the same of a particular new guy; Noah. As if the person knew someone was watching them, the guy turned around and confirmed to me as Noah smiling showing his cute dimples. He nodded in indication of a greeting - I assumed and I awkwardly raise my hand trying to not look like an idiot. I was totally unaware of Gina coming towards me to sit down to watch everyone dance amongst the lounge.

“Hey.” Gina said quietly, sitting down.

“Hey,” I replied, turning my attention on her. I started to notice the sorrow eyes and the slight circles around her eyes the sign of heartbreak. “Talk to me, Gina. I know you are hurting but you said you’d talk to Blake and explain what happened with the incident.” I take her hand and focus my eyes on hers which glistened with tears. Gina was about to reply when I noticed the atmosphere and the house had gone silent causing me and Gina to look towards where the crowd were gazing. Only certain groups could make stupid a** entrances like that – the Cheerleaders and DRiO. Alex as usual stood out of Blake and Chase walking in and heading towards the sofa that I and Gina were sitting. Gina pulled me up and walked into the kitchen where we previously were avoiding any contact with them including Blake.
