"... and then I got a text from eomma Look..." I said nervously holding a heavy black mug with hot green tea in it. I took out my phone and gave it to Junhong to read the message. His eyes were open wide.
"Well, that's quite stange. Maybe you should call her?" Junhong suggested.
"Don't be dumb. She's too busy working anyway. I'm suprised she had time to text me anyway." I complained. But I am quite curious. I wonder that her problem was. She acted like she has discovered that someone is going to throw a grenade through our window. Junhong's brother walked in and smiled at me. I smiled back. I have to admit, his older brother Youngjae is pretty hot as well. I recieved another text from eomma."You can come home now." - Eomma
"Hey, Junhong, eomma just texted me... She said I can go home now. I'll get going. Thanks for having me over." I said and walked towards the door to put my shoes on.
"No problem. I'll see you at school. Annyeong." He replied and opened the door for me. I went back home and saw my mum sitting on the couch.
"Annyeonghaseyo. What's wrong? That text you sent to me scared me a little bit. Is everything alright?" I asked out of plain curiousity.
"Listen, sweetheart. I know why you were in hospital. I don't want this to happen again. I don't want you to cut. I know that you feel better when you're around people, so I told you to go to our neighbours because I didn't want you to be alone." I was suprised, I must admit. She never cared about me so much.
"Since when do you actually care about me?! You were never there for me! I could only rely on appa but now he's gone! And you were never here in the first place. I'm all alone, i don't have anyone!" I yelled at her as the tears formed in my eyes. I grabbed my jacket, opened the door and i was jsut about to leave when...I saw Junhong by my door. I pushed him aside and ran out. He followed me. I ran through a forest, hoping that I'll lose him. I sat by a tree and cried quietly. I was too tired to get up and run.
"I would never think that you'd come here when you're upset. You seemed to be a pretty happy person at school" I heard a voice behind me. I turned around but I couldn't see the face of this guy. My eyes swelled up and I couldn't see a thing. He sat down next to me. His voice was very deep and unusual. It wasn't Junhong.
"I don't want to talk about it. I think I should go now." I got up and wanted to walk away but thiss guy grabbed my arm and turned me around to face him. He wiped the tears away from my face and I could finally see. It was Yongguk. My pupils widened. I was very suprised and also kind of scared. I mean... He's the rebel in our school. Actually, 'rebel' is an understatement. He's more of a boss.
"Don't be scared. It's not like I'm going to hurt you." He squeased my arm harder and began pulling me deeper into the forest. I started screaming. He stopped and looked at me.
"Stop screaming or I will hurt you." He threatened me. We were both quiet for a bit as we heard fast footsteps running towards us. We looked around nervously, and in a brief moment I saw a fist fly by my face, hitting Yongguk. He fell to the ground as he let go of my arm. The guy that brought Yongguk to the ground grabbed my wrist and pulled me out of the forest. We found a bench near the forest and we both sat down. I finally had a second to look at the man who rescued me. It was Youngjae.
"Listen, cutie, my brother is coming. He'll get you home safely. I need to go. Watch out and don't go to the forest at night. Especially alone." He said and ran off. I didn't even have time to thank him. Two minutes later, I saw Junhong running towards me.
"Are you crazy or stupid?! Why did you go to the forest!?" He yelled at me. He was angry.
"Where else could I go? I go there when I'm upset. I didn't know that Yongguk will be there." I muttered. He sat down next to me.
"So you're stupid. No wonder why you don't have friends." He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back to my house. He kicked the door open and dragged me to my room, told me to sit on the bed. He started going through my stuff. He took all razors and put them in his pocket. He asked if I have any more and I shook my head. I didn't lie. He left without a word and slammed the door behind him. My mum didn't even come up to my room to ask what just happened.-----
I woke up in the morning, I got up, washed my face and packed my bag for school. I put on my uniform, grabbed a snack, my bag and I left. I arrived at the classroom and sat in my seat. Junhong was already there. He didn't even look at me when I sat down. I didn't say anything either. This day was another wasted day. We didn't talk during class. The bell rang and we all went to the canteen. I sat down alone again. While I was eating my food, two guys approached me and sat next to me. Himchan and Yongguk. Here comes trouble.
"Your boyfriend gave me a black eye yesterday, babe." Yongguk said while Himchan was playing with my hair.
"He's not my boyfriend. I've only seen him once." I turned to Himchan. "Can you leave my hair alone!?" I said nervously.
"Hey honey, why are you so mean to my friend? What did he do to you?" Yongguk smirked at me and told Himchan to go. Yongguk gave me a quick kiss on the cheek and walked off. I didn't react to that. Just then I heard someone puch a locker. I turned around and saw Yongguk, Himchan and Junhong fighting. Blood was all over the floor. Without thinking, I ran up to the guys trying to split them up, but Yongguk pushed me away into Himchan's arms. He held me tight. He didn't want me to inturrupt the fight. Somehow I managed to get out of his embrace and I ran towards Junhong. I pushed him away from the crowd and took him outside.
"And apparently I am stupid..." I said with a sarcastic smile as we walked towards a bench. We sat down. He didn't look at me at all.
"Why would you get in a fight with Yongguk!?" I asked.
"Because of yesterday. Thank God I knew where you were! What if he did hurt you? What would you do then?!" He yelled at me.
"I don't understand what your problem is! You didn't help me anyway! Your brother did!"
"Because I told him to!"
"Why didn't you do it yourself?!"
"Because... My brother is a cop. If I did it, I'd get in trouble." He has finally calmed down. And so have I.
"Why would you care about me so much anyway? You only know me for two days." I said calmly.
"Because we're friends. And I care about my friends. A lot." He answered. I smiled at him. the bell rang and we went back to class. After the lessons ended, I walked home with Junhong. We talked about random stuff. He's a pretty nice guy actually. He's well organised and he's a good student. And of course; he's very caring.
A few weeks have gone by with similar situations. We were talking every day, Sometimes we'd go get food together, I'd come over to his house and we'd watch movies and dramas. We were getting along well. Until 'someone' started talking to me.
