I ran through the empty hallways of the building, holding Junhong's hand tightly, pulling him behind me. He was weak and tired, but we had to run as fast as we could. In the background, I heard the echoing of ZIco's voice. He was commanding his gang members to run after us, so I ran even faster, almost tripping over my own legs. We ran into an empty, dark room, shut the door behind us and hid within the darkness. Seconds passed, yet they felt like hours, dragging and flattening. My breath became short and my heart pounded in my chest. I closed my eyes and listened out for the sound of approaching footsteps. I pulled out my magnum and cocked it. The door suddenly flew open and two men with guns were looking for the sign of us hiding under the cold blanket of the dark. I aimed the gun at one's head, but my hands were trembling. Tears filled my eyes, burning. My finger gently stroked the trigger and was about to pull back, when the men turned around and left, closing the door behind them. I kept staring into the empty blackness, as the last drops of light disappeared behind the closed door. Tears finally rolled, and I put away my gun. I heard someone sigh loudly next to me and I suddenly remembered that he was there with me.
"Does Yongguk even know you're here?"He whispered softly, his breath was steady.
"You're welcome," I said sarcastically. "No, he doesn't." I then followed up after a short pause, answering the question.
"Do you even know how to shoot?"
"No clue." I replied blankly. I closed my eyes and allowed the corner of the room to hold me in the cold embrace of corroding walls. After what felt like forever, I felt Junhong grabbing my hand and pulling me off the ground. I stood up and suddenly felt his arms wrapping around me. He was warm. His hand rested on my waist and the other one stroked my hair gently. As he released me, he put his hands on my shoulders and lightly kissed my forehead.
"Let's get out of here. All exits will be guarded, so we need to find a window on the ground floor. Let's go." He commanded. His words were oddly comforting, and I had a sense of safety. We peeked through a small gap of the door which we opened slowly. "Let's go." He whispered in my ear and we ran out of the room. I pulled out my gun just in case and cocked it. The spring made a loud noise, so I looked around nervously to see if anyone heard it, but I saw so one around. We rushed towards the stairs and hid behind a corner before we were about to turn left. Junhong peeked to check if anyone's there and looked back at me with fear in his eyes.
"I'll take care of him." He said as he pulled a knife out of his pocket and slowly tiptoed forward before I could say anything. I heard a quiet groan and looked over. Junhong kneeled over the man with his hand over his mouth. The guy was bleeding and shaking, but his movements faded in seconds, and then he was completely still, breathless, lifeless. I wondered if he had a family he was fighting for, but I soon snapped out of it. Junhong grabbed my hand and pulled me behind him. We rushed to a window, unseen. We snuck out in silence and ran to my car.----------
The engine roared, but Junhong and I were silent. No radio, no talk, just the low growling of the engine as the one of a rottweiler. We sped through the highway, rushing to get back to the hotel room. Suddenly, I felt a massive heatwave pierce through my body, and a blinding light hit my eyes. After that, there was nothi---.
*Yongguk's POV*
I woke up to a phone call from the hospital. I answered the phone, not remembering Amber or Junhong.
"Yeah, hello?" I said in a sleepy voice. It didn't tremble then, but it seemed to now as I heard the doctor speak and I answered his questions. I kept swallowing the lump of fear and sadness in my throat but it kept coming back. I ended the call and rushed downstairs without closing the door. I knew I needed to see her.I looked around the parking lot but my car was nowhere to be seen, so I ran towards the nearest bus stop and was lucky enough to catch just the right bus. The journey was long and impatient. As I got off the bus at my stop, I ran through the doors of the hospital, reached the receptionist and yelled her name. Floor 4, Room 44. I didn't have time for the elevator, so I sprinted up four flights of stairs and ran into her room. Looked around. The room was empty, except for the nurse folding sheet.
"Where's Amber?" I asked, breathing heavily.
"Who's asking?" She replied.
"Her fiancee. I said proudly. My breath began to slow down, but my heart was still pounding.
"I'm sorry, sir. We did the best we could, but she was sat on a bomb. It exploded on the road. I'm sorry. I don't know if you knew him, but another man died in that explosion." She continued to talk but her words were no longer words to my ears. They were static, melting and falling apart like a million shards of shattered glass.----------
I sat on my bed in the hotel room, holding the ring I gave her. The doctors managed to get it and bring it back to me. I was thinking about her smile when she saw it. I remembered all her fears and tears and smiles and laughs. She was perfect. I killed her. If she never met me, she'd be alive and happy. None of this would have happened. It's all my fault. I killed her.
I held the gun in my hand, my fingers stroked the trigger. It felt heavy. Tears were no longer in my eyes, but the pain remained. Everything was dark and muffled. I was no longer who I thought I was; I was a killer, a murderer. I killed my wife-to-be. I didn't want this life anymore. I didn't even get to say goodbye. I held the ring tightly in my hand, and the gun in the other even tighter. My hand rested on the trigger as I raised it to my head and then I...
...pulled.
Nothing happened. I was hoping for a short pain, maybe not even that. But I opened my eyes and I was still in my room, with a working brain and a beating heart in my chest, although it felt like a burden. Suddenly, the door to my bedroom flew open and a team of armed officers from SWAT pointed their rifles at me.
"Bang Yong-Guk, you are under arrest for possession of illegal weapons and murder. Drop your weapon and slowly turn around. No sudden movements, we will open fire!" I was about to drop the gun when a thought entered my mind. If I can't do it, they will. I aimed at one of the officers and I suddenly felt a thousand bullets pierce through my body. My muscles were torn to bits and blood was flowing out like a waterfall. Everything turned white and I realised that this is the end. I collapsed to the ground and then I felt......nothing.
*A/N: THE ENNNND!! I'm sorry I killed everyone, I wouldn't get away with it in real life so I have to do it in books. Don't get me wrong, Yongguk's reaction was quite rash but try to understand him. And by the way, killing him was the most difficult thing I've ever done, as he is my UB and I love him to death so yeah, I hope you enjoyed the story, I'll soon be working on something new so be ready. I might do something BTS related??? Who knows! Anyway, thank you for reading, I really hope you enjoyed the story ♥♥♥*
