I woke up confused and my eyes swelled up from yesterday's crying session. It took me a second to remember everything, but honestly, I'd rather forget everything. Junhong, you liar, I thought. I put my clothes on, including my jacket and my shoes, and I wanted to head out of this apartament. As I left the room and quietly walkked towards the door I heard a voice talking to me.
"You're not going anywhere, Amber." I turned around and saw Yongguk sitting on the couch with a cup of coffee.
"You can't make me stay." I replied. He smirked. Yongguk put the cup of coffee on the coffee table and walked up to me. He grabbed my arm, pulled me to the couch, and forced me to sit down.
"What do you want for breakfast?" He asked politely.
"I'm not hungry." I lied. I was starving. I haven't eaten since yesterday's dinner.
"Yes you are, do you want a sandwich?" He asked again. I nodded. He went to the kitchen to make me some food.
"We'll go to Junhong's house to get your stuff. Clothes, books and everything you need." I heard him say quite loudly from the kitchen. I was suprised.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"I mean that you will not live with this liar under one roof. You'll live here. Jongup - my brother - has moved out a few days ago. You'll have his room." He continued explaining further.
"That's nice of you, Yongguk, but I can't stay here." I said. I heard a long sigh coming from the kitchen and i saw him coming out.
"And why is that?"
"Because I don't want to trouble you. And anyway, why do you care? Did my mum pay you too to look after me?" I asked sarcasticly.
"No, I just like helping people." He replied as he walked towards me and sat next to me.
"Alright. I'll stay here. But not for lo--"
"You'll stay here for as long as I tell you to." He cut me off. There's no way I cant argue with him. He'll alwasy win. I just nodded and rolled my eyes. He got up and went to the kitchen to bring me my breakfast and told me to eat up.Later that day, we went to Junhong's house. Yongguk kicked the door open. With blank faces, we walked inside like an army. We didn't look at anyone. Yongguk stood with his hands behind his back, making sure that no one is going to try to stop me. Junhong ran downstairs from his room and tried to hug me, but Yongguk pulled him away, and brought him to the ground like a professional cop or a bodyguard. Youngjae was at work. Mr and Mrs Choi were standing with his eyes wide open.
"Amber! How can you let him do this to me?! Tell him to let me go!" Junhong yelled. I ignored him as I packed my stuff into a suitcase. I picked up the suitcase which was pretty light because I didn't have much in it. Just my laptop, phone charger, tonnes of clothes and a makeup bag, plus my school bag with books in it. I took out all the money from my pocket, along with the contract. I held it up, looked at Junhong's parents who looked confused as if they didn't know what it was. Then I looked at Junhong with an expressionless face. He realised that I know. I was about to leave, as I noticed Yongguk still holding Junhong down. I walked up to them, looked at Junhong again, threw the contract and the money at him and said
"You're fired..."
Yongguk realised that we're leaving. He picked Junhong up and gave him a solid punch in the face. Junhong fell to the ground again, Yongguk spat at him and followed me. We walked to his house.
"Your room will be here." Yongguk pointed at the wooden door near the kitchen. I opened the door and saw an amazing modern bedroom. The room was stuffed with electronics. I stood my the door with my eyes and mouth open wide. How the hell did he afford all that? Ho does he live with? He doesn't live alone for sure. He's too young. Or maybe someone just pays the rent and he lives here? I don't know.
"Do you like it?" Yongguk asked from behind. I turned around to face him and nodded with a smile. "I kind of live alone but sometimes Jongup comes over to see how I'm doing and to collect mail. It's his house on paper but he gave it to me. He lives with his friends." So he does live alone. Well, not anymore. I walked inside. I put my suitcase on my new bed and sat down.
"I'll leave you alone now. Get your room organised." Yongguk said in his calm, low voice. He then closed the door behind him as he left and I was alone again. In my room. I opened my suitcase and began putting my clothes in a big wardrobe with three doors and a mirror. After I have organised my room, I decided to go to the kitchen to get something to drink. I opened the door and headed straight to the fridge. I looked inside and saw many bottles of beer and two bottles of milk. I don't like milk. I guess I also could have had water but instead, I took one bottle of beer, opened it and went back to my room. I don't know how long it took me to get the bottle of beer... maybe 25 seconds or so. I opened the door and I saw Yongguk sitting on my bed with my phone in his hand, scrolling through my messages.
"Junhong texted you." He said as I walked towards him. "Oh you got me beer, thanks." He took the bottle of beer out of my hands and drank a bit from it.
"Hey! It wasn't for you!" I raised my voice nervously.
"It wasn't in the fridge for you either." He said calmly and handed my phone back to me.
