"You again..." I looked at Zico with heavy eyes, and rage boiling in my blood.
"How good to see you, Amber. Who would have thought that I will find you in Busan?" He smirked at me as he walked towards the metal bars of the cell. "You know, I left you a little present in your coat." He pointed his finger at a black coat hanging by the door.
"What is it?" I asked aimlessly. He put his hands in the pockets of his blue jeans.
"I'll see you later." He bowed to me and to the police officer, and left, shutting the door behind him.----------
The hours went by, and I was still stuck in this dusty cell. There was no movement, no sign of my saviour. Yongguk didn't appear. I sat in the corner of the cell, thinking back to how my life used to be before I met Junhong. I glanced down at the engagement ring I have received the previous night. It looked dull in the plain white light of the cell.
Finally, after a long wait, the officer stood up and padded towards the cell. He reached out to his pocket to find an old, rusty key. Upon opening the door, he said: "You're free to go, ma'am."
I bowed to him, grabbed my coat and stormed out of the police station. I sat down on a bench near the station and pulled my phone out of my pocket and searched through my contacts to find Yongguk.
"Yoboseyo?" I heard a deep voice at the other end of the line and felt a big relief.
"Annyeong, oppa. Could you please come pick me up? I'm at the police station and I have no money for a cab." I explained.
"A police station? Why? What happened?" His voice raised and the tempo of his speech increased.
"Hmm, I'm not sure. I woke up, and I was in a cell. And you'll never believe who has visited me... Zico! And he gave me a 'gift' or something."
"A gift? What is it." As I heard Yongguk ask, I went through my pockets to find a memory stick with a sticker which said: "For Yongguk." I looked at it for a short while.
"A memory stick. It says on it that it's for you."
"Okay, I'll come pick you up. Stay near the station. Annyeong."
"Annyeong."----------
As we entered our hotel room, I threw the keys onto the glass coffee table, then collapsed onto the couch. Yongguk slowly walked to the kitchen, and upon return, he brought me a glass of water and an aspirin and sat down on the couch next to me. I bowed my head to him, swallowed the bitter-tasting pill and followed with a few deep sips of cold water. I pulled out the memory stick out of my pocket and handed it over to him. We sat there in silence for quite a while, until Yongguk finally got up and went to his room to get his laptop. He sat back down next to me and turned on the device. The fans started turning within the computer and the screen came to life as if by magic. He typed in his password and I heard a welcoming tune. When the system loaded fully, Yongguk plugged in the memory stick and a folder popped up in a new window. There was a .mp4 file which he double clicked and the video started in another window. It displayed a dark room. About ten seconds into the video, a man with a bandana over his nose and mouth appeared in front of the camera, holding a knife. He looked at the camera and walked from the right side to the left side of the screen. He looked like he was dragging something towards the view of the camera. It was a wooden chair, hardly standing on its four, rat-bitten legs. The chair itself didn't exactly catch my attention; what was interesting was the person tied to the chair. It was Junhong... Thick ropes hugged his body and held it close to the back of the chair. Tough strands of rope were almost buried in his skin. His lip was cut open and blood was streaming down his face from his nose and the side of his head. Zico turned the chair so Junhong could face the camera and then stepped away from sight. In the background, I heard someone (most likely Zico) cock a gun. The video was poorly edited, but on the screen appeared a number: 10,000,000. I looked over at Yongguk with a fear and caution in my eyes. The video has ended and Yongguk's laptop shut down. His face looked confused as he tried to turn it back on, but he was unable to. The number kept popping up for five seconds each time and then the computer shut down again. Virus.
"What now?" I swallowed the lump in my throat. His expression was blank and stone-cold.
"Ten million. Ten!" He exclaimed. His low, humid voice bounced off the walls and filled my ears. The echo of his voice remained, and I heard a distant, muffled buzz in the background. I looked over at my phone. I unlocked the screen and opened the new text message I have just received.
"Dollars." I said out loud. Yongguk looked at me and raised his eyebrows. His face became pale as the one of a ghost. His Adam's apple fell down his throat and bounced back up.
"So what's the plan?" I asked him as calmly as I could, ignoring my voice beginning to break. Yongguk still looked blankly into the distance. He looked down at his feet and slowly got off the couch. I kept looking at him but his eyes were no longer visible to me; he turned his back on me and walked away towards his room. He opened the door, walked in and closed the door behind him.---------
After sitting hopelessly on the couch for many hours until the sundown, I finally got off the comfy pillows and walked towards the huge window. The sun almost melted into the vast ocean ahead of me. The beach was empty, so I decided to quickly get changed into a pair of black skinny jeans and a black tank top. I put on a pair of comfy trainers and by then, I already knew what was coming up; I dived under the bed and pulled out a large suitcase. I unzipped and opened it to reveal a load of weaponry, along with shafts. I took a coat-like double shaft and filled them both with a Magnum and a Glock. I also grabbed a belt and filled both shafts on either side with the same guns. I grabbed a large coat out of my wardrobe and filled pockets with magazines full of ammo. I made sure that the guns were also full. I put on some shades, grabbed my keys and slammed the hotel door shut behind me as I left, making sure that Yongguk could hear. I pulled out my phone and texted Zico, asking where I should come. I soon got a message back with the address, so I took the elevator downstairs and rushed to the car. As I turned the key, the engine roared like a lion attacking its prey, which was exactly what I was about to do. The explosions in the engine only pumped me up even more, and made me want to kill everyone in sight. My blood was no longer blood in my veins, but instead, pure adrenaline; enough to kill a horse. The rage in my heart and brain blurred out my vision and clear thinking was pushed aside. I wanted to take out my anger on the beautiful 300 horses I was sat on, so I 'floored it.' The gas pedal triggered the button underneath it, and before I knew it, I was going 200km/h along the city streets. In no time I have arrived at my destination. The building looked old and the neighbourhood was completely deserted; couldn't see a single living soul in sight. The building was old and looked like it was about to collapse. It was corroding due to acid rain, as it was made mainly out of limestone. The heavy, metal door was rusty and damaged, with a bunch of bullet holes piercing through it. I zipped up my long coat to make sure I appear unarmed. Suddenly, the door opened and I saw him with blood dripping from his hands. He gave me a creepy, evil grin and invited me inside...
