Chapter 4:

Maddie's Pov:

I sighed and went inside, Leah was throwing a fit.

"Whats wrong baby?" I ask and pick her up.

Niall was giving me the silent treatment, so I was gonna do the same.

"Im going to Liam's for a while. Give you some time to calm down."

I nodded and made Leah a bottle after he left.

"Daddys a buttnugget, ya know ?"

My phone started ringing. I checked the caller ID, and it was Harry.

I clicked accept and put the phone to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Hey Maddie. Is it alright if I come over ?"

"N-yeah."

"Mkay, i'll be there soon."

Leah was starting to fall asleep , which was good. She always fought with her sleep.

Harry just walked in, and smiled at me.

"Harry!" I say, overly excited to see him.

"Heyyy...." He says and wraps his arm around me, since Leah was in my arms.

He looked down at her and smiled.

"God damn, shes beautiful. Like you."

I blushed and handed her to him.

He looked at her like it was his own child.

"How old is she?"

"A year old."

"Shes small for a year old."

"I know. I hope she grows more." I say.

"Yeah... Anyways.." He says and walks to her bedroom, then comes back.

"Can I have a proper hug?"

I nodded and wrapped my arms around him. He smelt like pepperment and tea.

"I missed you so much..." I mumbled.

Harry wasnt my boyfriend , or anything, but I cared about him so much.

"I missed you too, love."

He kissed the top of my forehead and looked into my eyes as I looked up.

I wanted to kiss his lips.. No I didnt, yes I did. What am I saying? I'm with Niall.

"So that call... It was about the fight...?"

"Um... Yeah...?" He says more in a question.

Its like he wanted to say something, but I didnt want to push it.

I pulled away, wanting to hug him again.

"You don't understand how hard it was for me to not call you." I say, "then I forgot."

"Yeah. Its okay. I missed you too." He softly says.

I smiled and sat down on the couch.

He sat next to me and looked down at his lap.

"Remember when we 'kidnapped' you?" He asks.

I laughed at the memory. I was pregnant, emotional and bitchy.

"Yes!" I say.

"How is it funny?" He asks with a smile on his face.

"The fact that I was bitchy to you!" I say and laugh more.

"You were. But remember when you said we could be bestfriends and talk about anything?"

"Well yeah!"

"I need to tell you something,... And i dont know how to put it.."

"Just say it Haz."

Niall's Pov:

"You okay mate ? You look sad."

"I told her Liam."

"Told her what?"

"The fight."

"Oh, what'd she say?"

"She was like, quiet... She didnt really have anything to say."

"Im sorry dude."

I ran my hair through my hair, and sighed. Things were getting complicated between me and her , and I didnt know what to do about it.

"Things will get better. Its gonna be a ride through hell then back. You'll make it if you want it to work."

"Thats the thing, Liam. I want it too, but she doesnt. She cares to much about what people think, and she cares way to much about Harry."

"Arent they like, bestfriends?"

"There's times where i think that, but what if its more?"

"I dont think its that way lad."

"How do you know?"

"Maddie loves you right? Why would she like Harry?"

"I don't know. Maybe because even as a friend, he treats her better. And I can't stop them from being friends."

"Yeaah..... And how do you treat her?"

"I... The last few months everythings been fine. Until she asked about Harry."

"You should give Harry a chance. " he says and takes a drink of his beer.

"Why?"

"Maybe hes nice?"

"He threatened to take my girl."

"She wasnt your girl at the time."

"He kidnapped her."

"And he brought her back."

"Whos side are you on?"

"Yours. But im just saying."

"So make peace with this damn asshole?"

"Yepp."

"Li, you dont realize how hard it is. This guy is tryna take my girl. He's been trying since he first saw her after high school."

"Youre over reacting."

"Mhm, sure I am. Im going home. Thanks for the advice."

I open the front door and shut it behind me, and hear whispering. I walk into the livingroom and Harry and Maddie are on the couch, very close to eachother. She looks up at me as if she didnt expect me to come back.

"Hey.."

"Where's Leah?"

"Sleeping."

"Hey dude." Harry says with a nod.

"Hey. Anyways... Um, can i talk to you in the bedroom, Harry?"

He scrunches his eyebrows and follows me. I shut the door behind me and look at him.

"Look, Im sorry for everything. I just... Shes my fiance, and ... Im over protective. Ya know? Um, I just wanna be friends.. Is that okay?" I ask. I hated doing this, but I was doing it for Maddie.

"Sure bro!" He says and pats my back.

"Just please... Don't take her away from me. Or make any moves on her."

"I wont." He says and smiles.

I nod and walk out then grab my keys.

"I gotta go.. I cant be here."

I was going to the bar, to let all my feelings out and do something I shouldnt.
