Chapter 5:

Maddie's Pov:

I was drinking with Harry, since Niall left. Leah had some medicine since she was sick,

So she passed out.

I ignored Harry when he said he loved me... I just got up and used the bathroom.

I had this feeling when I was with him, that I never got with Niall. It was wierd.

"Hey!! Guess what the dog said to the cat when the cat took his food?"

"Hah wha' he say?" I ask, slurring.

"You got to be kitten me!"

I laughed even though it was the stupidest joke i've ever heard.

"Oh my god Harry!" I say and laugh as hard as I possibly could.

"Ha! Youre so cute when you laugh!" He says and smiles as I calm down.

"No , i look like a retarded walrus." I say and smirk.

"Fine. A cute , amazing retarded walrus." He says softly and grabs my waist, pulling me on his lap.

'Niall! Niall! Niall!' My thiughts screamed.

Did I love Niall? Yes, I did. But this felt so right, but yet so wrong. Harry was my bestfriend, but he was amazing.

"Harry.." I whispered and leant my forehead on his.

"Why does this feel so right when we know it shouldnt ?" I ask.

"I dont know..." He says.

He leans in, his soft plump lips barely touching mine, when Leahs cry made us pull away from eachother.

I got up and walked to her room opening the door. Her face was red and she looked like she was sweating.

"Thank you. Mummy almost made a mistake." I whisper and put her head on my shoulder.

"Shhh..."

Where was Niall? And what the hell was he doing?

Niall's pov:

I hated the bar, but it was my only way getting away.

I was talking to this lovely girl named Kelly. She was sweet and very beautiful. But i couldnt get Maddie off my mind.

"Yeah, so I didnt get accepted to College, which kinda pissed me off but whatever."

"Hm." I hum and look around. When I looked back at her, her lips were inches from mine.

She went to lean in, when her beer knocked over.

'Thank you. I almost made a mistake' my thoughts said

"Look, I got to go. I cant be here"

"Can I have your number ?" She asks.

"No." I say and grab my keys.

I wasnt drunk, I only had 1 beer. I needed to go home and revolve things with my fiance.

I pulled into the driveway, praying that Harry wasnt here, and they didnt do anything.

I unlocked the door and Maddie was on the couch, a pillow covering her face as I heard sobs coming from her.

"Maddie?" I whispered.

She looked up, her eyes bloodshot, her cheeks stained with tears,

"Babe.. Are you okay?"

"No. Im not." She croaks.

"Come here." I say as I sit next to her. I smelt alcohol, but ignored it. She put her head into my shoulder and cried.

"Whats wrong ?"

"I almost kissed Harry."

I wasnt mad, wasnt sad, because I almost kissed a girl I barely knew.

"I swear Niall, it was the alcohol, i would never do that to you." She says.

"You didnt kiss him did you?"

"No! Of course not."

"Im not mad. Or sad. Or anything."

"You arent ?"

"Nope. Wanna know why?"

"Why? "

"Because I almost kissed a girl who didnt mean anything. But you never left my mind." I say.

"Im not mad either." She whispers and looks up at me.

"What is happening with our relationship?" She asks.

"We just...we're parents." I say and laugh.

"Yeah... Do we need counceling?" She asks and giggles.

"Nope. We just need honesty. Tell me what you've been feeling baby."

"I've been feeling like... Like you dont love me anymore. Like I was so surprised you had sex with me that night. I thought you were getting tired of me, and you just didnt want me anymore." She says.

"I feel like, I'm not good enough for you and Leah, and you deserve better. Ya know ? I just feel like we don't have what we used to."

"Can we get what we had back?" She asks and looks up at me.

"If you want it back, nothings impossible baby." I say and kiss her forehead.

"I want you. I want you and only you Niall. I dont want to lose you, and I dont know what I was thinking when I let you go before." She says , a small tear falling.

"I know , love." I say and tilt her chin up.

"You're beautiful, youre funny, youre obnoxious, youre annoying, you're stupid, youre wierd, but thats all right, because I love you, and you're mine."

"Awh, kiss me you dumbass." She says.

I smiled and leaned in, softly kissing her soft lips. Our lips moved in sync, and that tingling feeling I had lost, was back.

"I love you too." She says after pulling away,

Maybe we'll be okay. Just maybe.
