Dear Diary,

I turned around to see who was speaking to me. He was young. Not as young as me, definitely not but still quite young to be in a place like this.

"I'm Dan" he said "Dan Howell."

"I'm Jennifer" I paused just the same as him "Jennifer Low." He gave me a small smile and turned around to leave.

"Wait" I interrupted "I need help finding a patient actually. He's in room um, he's I'm room uh..." Dan stared at me blankly.
He chuckled a bit before asking me "What's the patient's name? I can pull their record up and find out the room number."

"Gabe Helmy." His name left my vocal cords so smoothly and calmly.

Dan looked at me unsure and started typing in Gabe's name. Suddenly all his happiness was lost as soon as the screen was radiating a bright, florescent light. He seemed so deep in thought while staring at the screen, searching for the room number.

"Room 257C on the third floor." Dan said.
He grabbed a key and handed it to me. He just casually walked away.

"Thank you!" I realized I hadn't thanked him as he walked away. He didn't respond at all. What was his deal? I figured it out soon. I made my way to the stairs feeling stares on me as I walked. As soon as the heavy door was shut I sighed.

Finally I was standing at another heavy door that read 'Third Floor'. The hallway after the door, it was so simple yet so erie. I wanted to turn around and leave to be honest. Yet, I couldn't I came this far for him. I'd look like a complete idiot leaving now. The hallway was so quiet. It was so quiet I couldn't tell rather it was a good thing or not. '100C, 102C, 104C' I kept reading the room numbers and figured it would be a bit longer before I came upon Gabe's room. I felt as if someone was watching me. I turned to see a pale face with bright, blue eyes staring back at me. I slowly walked towards the man and just looked at him through the small window on the door. He looked so sad, so lost. I read his information which was tapped to the door next to the small window.

Attention:Please remind him that you are real before entering. He can be extremely violent if thoughts are miscarried.
Thank you.

He didn't look violent. He reminded me if a lost kitten. So small and fragile, he had sad eyes. He just seemed so terrified. His mouth was moving, but I heard nothing. That's why it is quiet. I'm so stupid sometimes the rooms are sound proof. Since I couldn't hear him I had to take a guess at what he was saying. I mouthed back a small world that made his lips twitch into a slight smile, "Real."

I turned away a focused on my original plan, to see Gabe. He was all that was on my mind now. I felt many more stares on me as I walked quickly down the hallway. I ignored them. '250C' I quickened my pace, '252C' '254C' '256C'..

Finally I was standing infront of room '257C'

I checked the information before walking in. Wait, could I even do that? Can I just walk in?
