we walk into the building and it was noisey. there was a lot of commotion. police men running around with papers, getting new assignments. we walked to a desk near the door, i was still holding lisa's hand. "hi, we are here to identify a girl" christina told a brown hair women.
"last name please" she didnt even look up.
"cimorelli" christina answered.
"ok you can go to the back office" she points to a door in the back.
"thank you" christina says as we walk off
when we get to the door i freeze. is she in that room? by she i mean rachel.
"come on" lisa pulls me into the room.
"hello. im detective marshall" a tall, dirty blonde man says.
"hello, im christina." christina shakes his hand. "this is lisa and lauren, my sisters." she points to us
the man shakes both of our hands. he then looks at a clip board he has in his hands.
"so lauren, you are the victim right?" he looks at me and bends down to my height.
i just nod.
"ok, we need you to make sure we have the right person." he stands straight again. "heres how it works. we take you to a small room, there will be a one way window. do you know what that is?"
"the windows that only one side can see through" i guess.
"yes. anyways you can see her and she wont see you. then you just tell us if that her." he gives me a small smile.
"ok" i let go of lisa's hand.
"lisa, christina you can stay here and help yourself to something to drink" he tells them.
"thank you" christina says.
i was then lead out the door and through the big room again. we got to another door and went inside. it was a small white room, nothing in it. there was a window i could see through. at the other side was another small white room.
in the other room i could see into was a girl. well not just a girl, rachel. it was really her. she looked in the distance with anger and revenge in her eyes. i started to panick. it got really hot all of the sudden.
"is this the girl who hurt you?" detective marshall asked, studying my face.
"uhh...uh" i didnt know what to say. rachel will kill me more. i looked at her again. the look she had on her face was terrible. if i say this wasnt her and they let her go she'll just come back to bullying me. but if i say it was her when she gets out of jail or where ever she goes, she'll kill me.
"no, thats not her" i decided to say.
"are you sure" he must know something was up.
"yes im positive this isnt her." i said firmly.
"alright, we can go back now."
before following him out the door i look back at rachel. she had a smirk on her face, an evil one.
when we got back to the detectives room lisa asked "was it her?"
"no" i dont look up from the floor.
"what do you do now?" christina asks detective marshall.
"we will let the girl we thought was her go and keep looking for this rachel." he told her.
i felt like crying. i dont know what i should do anymore. it was a lot to handle. its all rachels fault.
"ok thank you" christina says and we leave.
