Cimorelli and Lauren's Problem

the chase

dani's pov.

christian and i were talking when i heard the door open.  rachel came down the stairs.  show time.

"we are going to do something different today"  she grins.

"all of you! upstairs now!"  she yells.

christian and i help lauren up and we go up stairs.  once upstairs we set lauren on the couch and stand near her.

"so instead of just teaching lauren some manners, im going to teach you two manners while lauren watches."  she points at chris and i with a knife.

rachel comes up to me and grabs me so i can't move.  "you first"  she brought her knife to my cheek and made a small cut.  i had to bit my lip to keep from yelling.

i felt warm blood run down my cheek.  is this what it is like for lauren?  how does she take this?

rachel pushed me against the wall and brought her fist up.  right before her fist made contact christian jumped on her, making both of them fall."you little brat" she shoved christian off of her.

christian got up and ran as she chased him.  i ran after her.  i didnt want her to hurt my brother.

"im going to get you!" i heard her yell. 

finally i caught up and saw she had christian on the ground and was kicking him.  i jumped on her back.

"get off!" she spun around trying to throw me off.

she flung her knife around aimlessly.  her knife decided to stab me in my arm.  i screamed in pain.

"dani!" christian yelled now on his feet.  i looked over at him and he had some wood board in his hand.  i wonder where he got that.

i jumped off rachel and baced up quickly.

she turned to me and was about to say something.  but christian smacked her with the board and knocked her out.

she laid on the ground, out cold.  "woah" christian was shocked.

"come on!" i took his arm and dragged him out.  we ran back to lauren.  she looked even worse.  we need to get her to a hospital.

"we can go"  christian looked around making sure none of rachels helpers were here.

together christian and i helped lauren get up.  we got out of the house as quick as we could.  there was only one problem.  we didnt know where to go and we were in the middle of the woods.

we started down the road we came on, or atleast we think it was.  we only got like 40 feet when i heard something.

"what was that?" i looked around.

"what was what?"  he asked.

"i heard something"  i told him.  then we stopped talking to listen.

there was some screaming noise.  i turn to look at the house and see rachel!  she was running towards us with an axe in her hand!

"run!" i yelled.  we went as fast as we could. we ran off the road and into the woods.

"we can hide lauren"  he said.

i agreed.  we put lauren down behind a big rock just before rachel got to us.

christian and i backed away from the rock.  i didnt want rachel to know lauren was there.

"wheres the other one!" she was angry.

neither christian or i answered.

"ill just kill you then"  rachel came to us with her axe raised.

"im over here"  i heard laurens voice.

all of us look over at lauren who limped out from behind the rock, using it as support.

"ahhh haaaa!" rachel changes direction and goes over towards lauren.

but before rachel gets to lauren she trips on a branch and falls forward.  rachel stays on the ground, crying in pain.   what happened?

i walk over to her and turn her on her back.  when i did that i saw that her axe had stuck into her, when she tripped she must have tripped onto her axe.

"help me"  she managed out. "please"

blood poured out of her cut and mouth.

i just stared at her. "dani! come on." christian said.  christian had gotten to lauren and helped her.  lauren looked like she was going to pass out.

i look back at rachel.  she stopped moving and breathing.   she was dead.

after that christian, lauren and i walked down the road.  we didnt know where to go but we kept walking.  

we had walked a couple of hours when lauren dropped.  she couldnt keep going.  her eyes closed and her breathing slowed down.  

"we can take a break, maybe lauren will be able to walk again soon" i tell chris.

we sit down next to lauren. "dani"  christian says

"yeah?" 

"we need to find help, and soon"  he says while looking at lauren.  

"i know" i told him.
