Chapter 18

I had been so excited with my engagement that I had taken some time away from my family.
So I woke Tyler up with a text:
"Hey meet me at the park."
"Ok, be right there."
I grabbed my purse and headed out the door running to the park.
I saw Tyler sitting on the swing, slowly swinging back and forth.
I walked up to him and sat in his lap.
"You needed to talk to me?" He asked. I  nodded.
"I feel like I'm losing connection with my family. I mean, I haven't even told my parents that we are engaged."
He placed his hand on my shoulder.
"Well...I guess that only means one thing," he said.
"What?"
"A trip to Alabama!" He replied.
I jumped up and kissed him.
"Thank you thank you THANK YOU!" I yelled.
I was so excited to tell Brentleigh that I ran as fast as I could all of the way home.
"Brent we are going back to alaba-" I looked around and she was gone.
"Brentleigh!" I yelled.
I looked upstairs and downstairs but I could not find her.
I grabbed my phone and called Shane.
"Hey where is Brentleigh?" I asked. There was a moment of silence and then he hung up.
"What the hell?" I murmured. At that time Tyler walked in.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"I called Shane to see where Brentleigh was and he just hung up. I don't know where in the world she is."
He walked up to me and hugged me. "We will find her!" He said and called out good friend Coleen.
"Hello?"
"Hey have you seen Brent?"
"Yea she is here why?"
"Hope was worried."
"Well she said her and Shane had a fight and she came home and didn't see hope so she came here."
"Ok, tell her to come home because we have exciting news to tell her!"
"Ok bye"
"Bye"
That was weird. But when she came home, she sat down and looked at us. "What?" She asked.
"WE ARE GOING HOME." I replied. She smiled. "It's about time."
