Love wins

Chapter 26

I walked in the living room to help my husband with his suit. I felt so bad for him, I mean he did not deserve this.
I heard a knock on the door, and opened it to find Brentleigh and Shane.
Brentleigh ran up and hugged me, and Shane hugged Tyler.
"Well...I mean lets do it." Tyler said walking out of the door quickly. I ran up beside him and put my arm around his wait. He wrapped his arm around my shoulders, and we walked to the car.
*one hour later*
We walked into the church to see a very visible casket in the front.
I started to walk up, but Tyler pulled me back.
"C'mon lets go see her." I said. He looked down. "I'm scared to look," he replied fighting back tears. I grabbed his hand and led him to her.
We said our goodbyes and sat down in the first pew.
Brentleigh put her arm around Shane, and a hand on my knee.
She had always been so comforting, and I could always look to her for advice.
The preacher came up and asked that the immediate family stand up and make their way to the front.
Tyler stood up, and pulled me up with him.
We were starting to walk up, but Tyler looked back.
"C'mon...you guys are more than family to us." He told Shane and Brent, and they came up as well.
We stood there and cried and held each other.
But then we got serious. Tyler had to make a speech.
"I always wondered if my mom was actually crazy or not. We used to fight like no other person, and that doesn't exactly make me happy. No I am not proud of it, and I wish we spent more time together. I immediately regretted moving to la as soon as she passed,  because I could have been there or done something. I just want to thank her...even though she can't here me. And thank you hope for tying this stupid tie for me. Thank you Brentleigh and Shane for always making me laugh. Just to all of you, make sure you appreciate the little things because that will be the thing that you miss the most."
Everyone clapped and he sat down beside me. The rest of the service was beautiful.
