Chapter 11

So we were driving to Venice beach when Jackie called. Tyler pulled over so he could answer it. "Hello?" He asked. I put my hand on his as he listened carefully to his moms every word. "Yes...mom I love you we will be right there." He said before hanging up. I looked back at Shane and Brentleigh who were leaning up looking at us. I could hear my heartbeat in my head. "Tyler...are you ok?" I asked. He shook his head. "Yea, I'm ok....but mom isn't," he began. "They found something growing on her right hip and they think it is a cancer tumor."
I broke down in tears and wrapped my arms around him. So were the idiots in the backseat. I had just met him, but it felt like a lifetime of love and support. "We need to go back to Michigan so I'll bring you guys back-" Shane cut him off. "No! We are going with you. You need friends right now Tyler."
"Yea babe, just turn around right now and head for the airport." I told him. He wiped his tears and nodded.
As we drove off Charlie puth's "see you again" played and everyone cried. I had been a very big fan of Tyler's forever. He was like my spirit guide. Queen Jackie was everyone's favorite Oakley. I just wanted to see her.
We arrived to the apartment and gathered our things. "You should probably prepare for a long trip!" He said. I nodded. I don't know why I was crying so much. I re did my makeup, and we were off. Brentleigh and Shane were to meet us there at 3:30 and it was 3:00 and they were waiting at the front door. I grabbed Tyler's hand, and we walked to the plane. Planes are my biggest fear, so I had my head buried in Tyler's chest the whole time. Brentleigh and Shane were playing with each other's hands and cuddling the whole way.
5 hours later we arrived to the Detroit airport and taxied our way to queen jackies.
We all walked up to her house. "Alright someone has to ring the doorbell." Tyler said. I put my hand on his arm and rang it.
When Jackie opened the door everyone hugged her.
"Hey mom." Tyler said through tears. "Hey baby." She replied. "Who are all of these people?"
"Well this is Shane's girlfriend Brentleigh and this is my girlfriend Hope." He said.
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Oakley." I said hugging her. "It's ok baby call me Jackie."
