Kye has gone off the deep end, I mutter, watching him run, afraid of him seeing me while following him. I can't help it! He's been in enough trouble already so why should he get in more?! Especially with me around. I run after him, shifting from in and out of the shadows making sure he doesn't accidentally turn around and see me stalking him. There's a storm coming, and if he dies then something terrible will happen to the rest of his family. But I won't let that bitch of that so called "angel" catch him. I know who she is. She knows everything and anything about Kye and his family, and if she tells him the truth about his family, who knows what he can do with his powers?! That's why I'm here, I need to stop her before she catches up to him and tells him the truth.
Thunder booms in the distance and Kye turns around and I gasp, quickly shifting into a shadow behind a tree, stealing glances of him watching the storm. His fists tightens and glows with blue energy and I flinch and groan, trying not to make too much noise. He releases, then continues with his running, unable to see that what will happen will sure ensue his death, or worse. I must stop him, but he can't see me. He'll think I'm the bad one and helping keep Alexandra confined and hurt. There has to be a way. I quickly look up and find a crow following him and I stare at it for a moment, curious as to why. Then I realize, it's the angel, she can shift?! I growl and stand, then run after her, shifting into a seagull and flying into the "crow", knocking her off to the side forcing her to roll down the hill. I land and turn, watching Kye run further down the path, not noticing anything. I sigh in relief, but the relief is ended when a sharp pain goes straight up and down my chest, and I yell and look seeing a sleek pocket knife straight through my stomach, but not blood comes out. Her hand lifts my chin, making my eyes meet hers as a menacing smile comes across her face. I try to look away, but she holds my chin forcefully to keep it there.
"You can't stop me Felix, he will find out and know the truth, then he will be like a puppet to me, and you? You'll rot in the dungeons and cages like all the other worthless magical creatures in this place and I will be the ruler, doing what should have been done years ago to their god awful town you call home!"
"I'm not afraid of you Elora! I know what you really are and you know what I can do to you!" I growl, and a menacing laugh rings through the forest as she drags me closer to her face, forcing the knife deeper into my stomach and I try not to show my god awful pain.
"Kye already knows what I'm really like Felix, and if you think a dumb shadowshifter like yourself can protect him from what I'm going to do, you will get nowhere because by the time you get there he will be my puppet. Besides, this knife is a killer when it comes to shadowshifters like you. Goodbye Felix" she shoves me to the ground, taking the knife out and cleaning my smokey blood off the knife. She starts walking, but then turn towards me and smiles. "Oh, and if you were also curious, yes I am in fact a Clouder, you know what those are right? Anyways I gotta go, the show is about to begin". She turns to me with one final grin and teleports away, leaving me in the middle of the path in agonizing pain. I slowly get up, watching my smoke swirl like a small hurricane trying to fix the ever feeling wound. I put my hand over it, looking towards the path of the mansion. Kye, please be safe...I'll be there soon. The autumn wind flows through the air and I reach out with my other hand, seeing the smoke from my hand flow into the air, flowing into a blue bird flying towards the castle.
I close my eyes and breath in and out slowly. A new energy flows through me and I open my eyes, taking off in a sprint. My eyes start tracking Kye's steps, and I run faster, praying to god that he knows what the hell he's getting himself into. Crystal appears next to me and taps on my shoulder, causing me to turn towards her and stop just before I run into a tree. I lean against the tree and turn towards Crystal.
"What is it Crystal? You need to make it fast in kinda in a hurry to save Kye's life."
"Elora caught up to you didn't she?" She asks, rubbing her hands in circles and looking around as if someone was watching out every move.
"Yes, I found out she's a Clouder, probably the last of her kind. Why do you need to know?"
"Uhm well she- wait WHAT?! She's a Clouder?! Those haven't been around for thousands of years! How the hell are they still alive?!"
"I don't know Crystal! But what were you going to tell me?!" I groan, realizing that run wasn't such a good idea especially in my condition. Crustal looks at it for a second, then shakes her head.
"Elora knows exactly what your going to do, so you need to make up a different plan. And, she's planning on wiping out every single magical being by shadows. But with technology that can kill humans. So if you can find that device before she gets to Kye, you can stop her from at least wiping out the population, at least for a little bit. Without her technology, she'll be forced to do everything manually. Go Felix, you've got a job to do" she nods, and I smile. For humanity's sake"
"For humanity's sake, i trust you Crystal." Shadows surround me and consume me, soon healing my wound. I take off across the path, flying through trees and shadows and staying hidden. I know what's right, and I will make everything right again.
