Derrick
"Derrick! Oh god thank god your ok!" Alexandria says and I run over to her hugging her tightly. Pulling away, I realize one of her arms is chained to the wall of the cell. I look at it closely then sigh and she looks down. "Don't even try, the only person that can break it is either Kye or Alec, and even then Kye has to kill Alec to get to us" she says.
I bite my lip hard and start cursing to myself. Alexandria smacks me upside the head and I stop and look at her then shake my head sighing. I look at the dirty cell and run my hand over the cool ground which has cracks all over the ground. Electricity comes out through my fingers and I jump back.
"Oh my god you got your powers back Derrick! I-I thought that guy stole them from you 6 years ago?" Alexandria whispers and I stare at my hand amazed. It glows softly and I point my hand at the cell and use my electricity but all I get back is my head and back slammed hard against the concrete of the cell.
"God damn, why didn't you tell me?" I say and rub my head.
"Uh you did it too fast before I could tell you" she sighs and I smile and try to lighten the situation, but it doesn't help.
A gentle knock on the cell door makes both of us jump as we look over and Tyler is standing there with a full plate of food. He gives it to Alexandria who slowly eats it still eyeing Tyler suspiciously. But Tyler looks like hell.
His eyes are bloodshot, his blue and black little Beatles T-shirt is half ripped and torn down the side with a cut on his wrist. His pants are basically shredded up dark blue shorts with the zipper missing. But his hair is the worst; a piece of his hair is bloodstained crimson against his ginger hair.
"Kye is coming a-and he's gonna save you guys but iz go-"
"Tyler baby boy why are you talking to these prisoners? They can hurt you" Alec says as he places a hand on Tyler's shoulder as smirks at us with a smirk not even a mother could love. I growl and lunge at the cell door but Alec waves his hand. As soon as he does, a chain tightens around my wrist almost cutting off the circulation.
"Let our baby brother go! He doesn't deserve a father like you!" I hiss and he just growls and uses his powers to slam me into the ground. Shooting pain throughout my body comes all at once and I tighten my jaw trying not to scream in pain.
"When Kye is dead I will have so much fun taking all of your powers first" Alec growls and walks out. Tyler looks at me and mouths 'I'm sorry big bro' and runs after Alec.
"Rest Derrick, we might need to fight our way out soon" Alexandria says and lies down as far as her chains will let her and I do the same, then I hear her singing.
"I won't give up, on, us, even if the skies, get rough I'm giving you all, my love, I'm still looking up" she sings whispering.
"See in the stars, they, burn, some even fall, to, the earth, we gotta a lot, to, learn" I start singing with her. I close my eyes starting to drift off to sleep.
