Chapter 16

Authors note: Merry Christmas.. to thoes who celebrate, I don't anyway hope you like this chapter I will try to make it longer than my usual ones.  

Kim stared in horror at her friend covered in tears.

 "What do you mean your dad is alive?" She asked.

Cathy explained everything and Kim just stared at her with a smile. "...So after he said that he will do anything for her to not give me away, she said to him that he should leave our family forever when I turn 8 years old and he obviously agreed."

"Wow that's horrible, but look on the bright side, your dad is alive you have to find him." Said Kim.

"How am I supposed to find him, the worlds a large place, he could be anywhere"

"Don't know, but trust me, you will find him one day."

And with that they whent back to sleep. But Cathy couldn't fall asleep, she kept thinking about her dad.

Cathy's P.O.V 

What was he like? Does he have another family, or maybe he's in depression because he had to leave me and my mom. Or maybe he forgot about me and doesn't even remember me, okay that's crazy hiw can he forget me? That was my last thought abd I soon fell asleep. 

~In the morning~

 Beep beep. I woke up at the sound of the alarm clock. I checked the time. 

8AM!!!! Were so late, I quickly rushed out of bed and whent to the other side of the room to wake up Kim.

"Kim wake up!" I shouted.

"Ugh what time is it." Kim moaned whilst stretching and slowly getting out of bed.

"Time for you to wake up, we're late" And with that she shot out of bed and whent to her wardrobe to get changed, I did the same.

We arrived to our first class which was Drama. As soon as we arrived all eyes were on us. I hated getting so much attention but at least I wasn't the only one who was late.

"You girls are so late!" The teacher shouted, and now I was sure that all eyes were on us.

"Sorry, our alarm clock woke us up at eight instead of seven." Said Kim confidently which really surprised me. 

"Fine, just sit down you already missed half of the lesson anyway." She said.

Me and Kim quickly sat down to avoid more embarrassment. 

I looked around the room and noticed that Aaron was in our drama class. For some reason I started staring at him. Kim looked at me and tried to figure out who I was looking at. "Snap out of it!" She said, then my head came back to reality. "Do you like him?" asked Kim. I wasn't sure though maybe I did like him since I kept staring at him. "Erm I don't know maybe." And that was all I said the  I quickly changed the subject.

"So how do you think we are going to get all of the ingredients in two weeks." I said in a quiet voice so nobody would hear. "I don't think it's going to be that hard we could ask for some help maybe." She said. "But from who?" She shrugged.

~Geography 2nd period~

We arrived to second period on time...thankfully. I sat down at my desk next to Aaron and the lesson began. "Today we are going to be learning about maps." Uhg I hate learning about maps it's just so boring.

As soon as the teacher set the task for us to do Aaron started talking to me. "Hey Cathy, this is kinda a weird question but do you happen to know anything about the evil spirits. Oh my god I cannot believe he just asked me that, did he overhear my conversation with Kim? Probably not. I thought of something to say. "Well I know that they can overtake a human or an object and it's basically like black magic." I said without even thinking through how I was going to sound. "Wow how do you know so much about evil spirits?" He asked. Oh no, what am I supposed to say now? Or maybe he can help us with the potion. "Erm well it's kinda a long story can you please come to my room at lunch time, I whant to tell you something but it's kinda a secret so I don't think this is the best place to discuss this" I said.

"Okay, sure what's your room number?" he asked.

"410"

Soon Geography was done and me and Kim whent to our next lesson.

"You did what??" She said, once I told her what happened in Geography. "Look this can be our only chance to find the ingredients and he can help us, plus he was already interested in the evil spirits so there's a big chance he will believe us and not think we're crazy."

"Okaaay, well what if he does think we're crazy?"

"Then we hope for the best." I said back.

"Waw good plan." She said in sarcasm. "Anyway you better go return that book about dreams since you don't need it and it's probably very overdue."

"Oh yeah I forgot about that book, I'll return it after this lesson."

Soon the lesson was over and me and Kim walked to the libary. We arrived and to our surprise there was another libarian a tall, younger one. "Excuse me, what happened to the other libarian." I asked wondering. "Oh didn't you hear about what had happened to her?" She asked in a French accent. "No" Kim said. "Ugh unfortunately she was mysteriously murdered." She said. Me and Kim both looked at eachother shocked. "What do you mean she was murdered?" we both asked.
