Chapter 18

Cathy's POV 

"Hi girls" Aaron said, once we made our way safely to the gate.

"Hi" We both said. They looked at me. "Ready?" Asked Kim.

"As ready as I'll ever be." I answered bravely. They nodded and Aaron throwed a rope over a gate and we started climbing, since they close the gate at night. We reached the top and started climbing down.

Soon we were on the ground, Aaron grabbed the rope and I took out the list of ingredients we needed. First one was the nettle. "Okay, so where does nettle grow?" I ask. There's a village close by, and there's lots of nettle growing there." Said Aaron. "Okay let's go." I said. We ran after Aaron to the village. It was a bit scary since it was pitch black and there was no one outside, the lights were also out so most of the time we were using our phones for some light to guide us to the village. I looked at the map. "The village should be about five more minutes away" I said. We got tired of jogging and started walking instead. I looked over my shoulder. "That scarecrow is freeking me out I said looking over at a creepy figure staring at me whilst I was walking. Kim and Aaron turned around and looked at the scarecrow. Then it moved and turned alive... "Aaaaggghhh." We all screamed and ran towards the village really fast. When we came we stopped to catch our breaths. "What..the..heck..was..that?" Kim said whilst taking small breaths in between her words. "Okay when we go back, we're definitely taking the long way." Said Aaron, also taking small breaths. We carried on walking and got to a big wild field with wild flowers, and all other kind of plants. My eyes spotted the nettle. "There" I said, pointing to the nettle. I ran to the plant and Kim and Aaron followed. "So what does it say we have to do now?" I asked Kim nervously, who was holding her phone and studying the image that was on it. Well you have to take it out with your bare hands." She said. With a fake laugh. "Whoo okay." I said nervously getting ready. I put my hand in the nettle, and there was a burning feeling inside me. I tried really hard not to let my tears show. I finally ripped out the nettle, Kim quickly took a plastic bag out of her backpack and held it upto me I quickly put the nettle inside, and tied the bag with an elastic band. Kim and Aaron looked at me shocked. "Wow your strong." Said Aaron. I tried hard not to blush, but then I remembered my hands, I looked down at them and realise they were covered in scratches and blood. I gasped. "Wow that looks bad" Said Aaron, he quickly took out some bandages from his bag and helped me put them on. "Thanx" I said shyly. We walked back to school and desided we would find our other ingredients tomorrow.

We quitely crawled back to school and didn't have any problems getting there. Me and Kim said goodbye to Aaron and whent to our room. 

"What a day" Said Kim when we walked in to our room. "Yeeah" I said. I quickly put on my pyjamas and whent to bed. I checked the time on my phone, it was nearly midnight!!, And we had to wake up at seven am. After about 2 minutes I fell asleep straight away. 

Kims POV 

I woke up in the morning by a knock on the door.

"Who is it?" I ask loudly, then suddenly remembering I was supposed to be 'sick'  I quickly made myself look washed out. The door opened and the same lady who was in our room yesterday came in. "Hello, sorry to bother you just wanted to know if you were feeling any better." She said. I thought for a moment, Cathy looked really bad and her hands hurt after yesterday's experience. "No we both still feel the same, if it's not too much trouble can we have a couple of more day's in our room?" I asked inoccently. "Yes sure, I'll tell the headteacher, you girls get better, bye." She said then she quickly dissapeared down the corridor. "Phew" I said then I whent straight to bed.

Cathy's POV 

I woke up and checked my phone it was 10am......10 AM!!! 

I quickly rushed out if my bed and whent to wake up Kim. "Kim, Kim get up, we're like two hours late!" I shouted. She groaned and stretched "Calm down Cathy." She said. "Remember we're supposed to be 'sick' a teacher came in this morning, and I said we're still sick, soo were safe." She said and started laughing. I groaned "Uuugh you could've told me earlier, I was really worried." I said. She shrugged and whent to make coffe. I sat down on the couch and picked up the ingredient list to see what we had to find today. It read '7 pigeon drops of blood from 7 pigeons' it said. I shivered. How are we supposed to get that. I then got a call from an unknown number. I picked up. 

"Hello?" 

"Hi, is this Cathy?" Said a familiar voice.

"Y...E..s" I said.

"This is Aaron, Kim gave me your number." He said.

"Oh" I said looking angrily at kim, "Sorry" she mouthed.

"Well I was just wondering, do you need some arrows and maybe a bow?" He asked.

I thought for a minute then I remembered. "Oh yeah I do, how did you know?" I asked.

"I read the ingredients list yesterday and you have to get some pigeons right?" He asked.

"Yeah" I said back.

"Ok I'll come to your room at lunchtime and we'll talk about it then." 

"Okay, see you at lunch, bye." I said.

"Bye" He answered. 

I put my phone down and saved Aarons number in my contacts, then I whent into the kitchen part of the room to tell Kim what Aaron told me. 

"Okay" She said after I told her everything "But how are we supposed to get the blood out?" She asked. "We'll just use a knife." I said. "Ha yeah, good luck with that." She said sarcastically, I rolled my eyes and whent to make breakfast.
