Chandra's POV
"I'll have her back by 11," Johnson told my father. Dad leaned against the doorway. He eyes me for a minute and I have him puppy dog eyes.
"Not a minute later," Dad muttered. Johnson smiled and we walked to his car. Johnson opened the door for me. I thanked him and put on my seatbelt.
I wiped my clammy hands on my pants. I didn't want him to hold my hands whe they were sweaty because I was nervous.
"So where are we going?" I asked him. Johnson shrugged, "it's a surprise."
I didn't bug him to tell me because I actually like surprises. It was fun that way.
Soon Johnson pulled up to a park I hadn't been to before. Johnson jumped out and jogged over to open my door. I thanked him again. Johnson opened the backseat and pulled out a backpack.
"We'll have to walk a little bit but I think you'll like it," Johnson said. I nodded and we took off towards the trails.
After 5 minutes of walking I gasped. The sky was fully in sight. I could see stars everywhere.
"Do you like it?" Johnson asked worriedly.
"It's beautiful,"I told him. I leaned forward and kissed his cheek. Johnson opened his backpack and pulled out a blanket and a Brown bag.
He handed me the bag.
"There's food in there," he told me. Johnson then laid out the blanket to sit on.
After eating we laid back and talked. Occasionally i would point out star constellations and he would too.
After three hours Johnson realized we had to head back home if I wanted to get home on time.
I frowned because I actually wanted to stay with him.
"I really want to see you again, Chandra. How about a second date?" Johnson rubbed the back of his neck.
"I'd love that," I told him sincerely.
