Chapter 24

Ava's POV

I say down in the chair at the cafe trying not to think tooth on what I was about to do. I sipped my ice coffee and read magazine until I felt a presence in front of me.

"Hello darling, I neer thought you'd contact me of all people." I rolled my eyes at Frank and put my magazine down.

"Cut the crap Frank. I want something from you and you want something from me."

"And what is it do I want from you, darling?" He asked curiously.

"My body. You've hit on me since the first time you were introduced as Zoe'a boyfriend."

He say back I'm his chair with a smirk on his face.

"And what do I have to do for you?"

"Break Zoe and Xavier up any way you can. Just make sure nothing traces back to me."

Zoe's POV

"Mmmm, that feels so good." X's hands were so magical on my aching feet. I had woken up from my nap to a sensual foot massage.

"Well I have to get you ready soon anyway." I groaned, remembering how I'd promised to be Becca's date for some charity gathering.

"Can I cancel?" X shook his head.

"Nope. I want to see my girl looking sexy before she goes out."

"And what happens when guys hit on me?" X growled.

"I don't care because I know you won't do anything. I'm yours and you're mine."

"Good answer." I pecked his cheek and got out of bed to take a quick shower.

After getting dressed, Becca arrived at my house and we left together. She was so happy and jittery that it made me suspicious.

What was I getting myself into?

We arrived at the venue and the valet took the car from us. "This place is beautiful." I nodded in agreement. This place honestly was gorgeous.

The huge pillars and fountain in the front made it look so formal and angelic. We walked in and I was confused for a minute because the first person I saw was Sam. It felt like I hadn't seen him in years.

"Forgot about me?" He smirked and I ran into his arms and hugged him tightly.

"I've missed you so much! How's the club?"

"Great, but we can talk about that later." He looked past me and I turned around and saw Gionni and Elliot.

"Gio? Why are you doing here?" I smiled an gently hugged my friend. He slung an arm around me and I was surprised at the strength behind it. He was really improving.

"You'll see." I was confused by his cryptic words, but shook them off. I hugged Elliot then I saw him hues true with his head in another direction.

I saw my mother and father standing there, smiling at me. "Zoe dear!" My mother rushed forwards and hugged me and my dad had to basically pry her off. He kissed my forehead and gave me a huge bear hug. I chuckled and broke away before someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned and saw Luke standing there.

"Hey Zoe."

"Why is everyone here? Are they part of the charity event?" He chuckled.

"There is no charity event. This is all about you."

"What do you-" Luke turned me around and all I saw was X on one knee with a velvet box in his left hand.

I slowly walked up towards him and he took my hand in his right hand.

"Baby, you are my everything. No matter what trouble we went through, you still stayed with me, accepting it. I love you more than my life and I would do anything for you and the baby. Make my life have meaning by becoming my wife. Will you marry me?"

I started to cry and I just nodded my head at X. I couldn't believe that he wanted to marry me. Yes, he said he loved me, but he loved me enough to go through the trouble and drama of marrying me.

X slipped the ring on my finger and stood up, talking my face into his hands. "I don't think you understand how much I love you." He kissed me with so much love and passion that I started to cry harder.

I broke the kiss and turned around and saw all of the family standing there. I must have been completely oblivious not to have noticed X's family's there too. I also noticed some people I didn't know, who were later introduced as X's coworkers.

I greeted all of his family then went back to my family and friends. "Is this why you were so excited?" Becca laughed and hugged me.

"I wanted to tell you so bad, but then that would've ruined the whole effect!" I laughed at her and examined the ring alongside her.

It was a fun night if just enjoying company when I heard a commotion by the front door. I walked over to see my father fighting to keep Frank out of the building.

"Dad, let him go." He looked at me confused, but listened to me anyway. I walked up to Frank and went close to his face so that no one else could hear.

"Why do you keep crashing my important events?" He scoffed.

"Trust me, this is my last. It's too much work trying to get you back and plus you're pregnant. I'm not into pregnant chicks."

"Then why are you here?"

"I was sent to ruin it, but I don't even care anymore, so I just came to say Congrats." I was still a little suspicious, but I accepted it anyway.

"Who sent you?" He came so close that his breath was on my ear.

"Who's your one family member not here?"

Sorry about such a late update!! I was so busy with softball this weekend!!

X proposed!!! Did you like the proposal?? And Frank said he's done with Zoe...is he lying?? And what will Zoe do about Ava??
