2nd Chapter : "My talent is being good at maths"

Lunch time finally arrived.

During science, all I could ever think about was the pizza that I couldn't wait to eat at the cafeteria.

See, every year, the school prepares pizza on the first day. It's like a tradition.

"Come on Jason I'm so done waiting"

I groan.

Tyler and I were waiting for our friend, in front of the cafeteria's doors. He sent us a text a minute ago, asking us to wait  and not to get inside before him. Since we felt bad that he wasn't in our class this year, Tyler and I decided to do so, just to please him. But I don't think I can wait any longer.

"Oh fuck it I'm hungry!"

I turn on my heel and prepare myself to push the doors to the cafeteria, and step in, when suddenly someone puts his hand on my head, and makes me turn around.

"But I can't wait any longer Tyler!!"

I yell at him as the feeling in my stomach, the growling, gets stronger.

"He's here"

In fact, Tyler was right.

Jason was walking to us, taking all the time in the world, and he wasn't alone. A cute girl with brown hair was laughing with him.

I felt Tyler's hand leave my head.

"Could you please hurry up a little?!"

I shout making some students turn their heads to my direction. Jason finally sees us. Once he notices my glare, he panics, grabs the girl next to him by the wrist and runs to us.

Without even bothering to greet Jason's new girl friend, I turn around, push the doors to the cafeteria and step inside. I hear him introducing his new friend to Tyler.

Not caring about the others, I immediately make my way to the waiting line, ready to get my pizza.

Tyler gets behind me.

"I know where we're going to sit today"

I turn my head to look at him. Tyler was looking somewhere else. I decide to follow his gaze. My eyes land on a table, where only two individuals were sitting.

You guessed right: Pyper and Brad Smith.

"I don't know...I don't want to disturb them"

I got my pizza then waited for Tyler and Jason and his new friend to get theirs.

"We won't disturb them. We'll nicely ask if we can sit with them. Come on"

And so, he pushed me, and made me walk in front of him, to get to that table.

"Hey"

I say once I'm in front of the new students.

The brother and his sister lift their heads. He greets me back, but the sister just gives me a questioning look that I decide to ignore.

"Would you mind if we sit here with you?"

Brad, the brother, shakes his head and smiles, showing me his perfectly white teeth.

"Not at all"

I smile back to both of them and sit in front of Brad, between Tyler and Jason. Whereas Jason's new girl friend, sits in front of him, next to Brad.
