Derek's face was inches from mine but all I could see was Harry. His lips was just moments from touching but then I backed away a little and so did Derek. He held his hand up and got something out of your hair.

"Sorry I was just...just getting some cheese out of your hair." He said while blushing a little.

"Oh! Thanks." I said, blushing from embarrassment.

I turned my head away and then my stove beeps, making me jump a little.

"Pizza's done." Derek said with a little laugh at my reaction.

I laughed a little and nodded my head while getting off the floor. I opened the oven and saw that the pizza looked absolutely delicious. I got some oven mitts and got the pizza out. Derek went to the fridge and grabbed the cookie dough.

"Ok so let's get this party started." Derek said with a grin.

I rolled my eyes and start putting the cookie dough on the pizza. My stomach growls and I was getting hungrier by the minute. Derek and I finished putting the cookie dough on the pizza and it looked great.

"I'm taking a picture of this." He said with a grin.

I laughed a little and saw him tweet it.

"You have a twitter?" I asked.

"Yeah. You should follow me."

"Sure next time I go on." I said. I probably wouldn't be on for a few weeks since the hate was horrible.

"You don't like going on anymore do you?" He asked.

"What do you mean?"

"Because of the breakup with Harry."

"Oh." I said while looking away.

"Sorry I shouldn't have brought it up."

"Don't worry about it."

"How about I take you out for dinner tonight? Get your mind off things." He said with a smile.

I was shocked a little but at the same time I wanted to go. I wanted to go out and have fun. Forget about Harry for a little bit. Plus Derek was just a friend so it couldn't be that bad.

"Sure." I said.

"Great. I'll pick you up at eight. I should go finish working." He said while grabbing some slices of pizza and then heading out of the kitchen.

I grabbed some pizza and then headed to my room to eat. I sat down on the laptop and saw that Ellie wanted to Skype with me. I clicked the answer button and her face instantly lit up my screen.

"Hey." I said while taking a bite of pizza.

"PIZZA AND COOKIE DOUGH! Damn you for making that without me." She said while rubbing her growing stomach.

"Sorry! When I get back I will make some." I said with a laugh.

"Anyway. How are you?" She asked.

"I'm good you?"

"Good. Niall and I have decided to tell the public about our relationship...and the pregnancy." She said.

"When?"

"Tuesday. I wanted to do it when you were here."

"Ok. I'll be there for you."

She smiled and then said "What are you doing tonight?". I didn't know if I should tell her but I figured I should.

"Well um...Derek and I are going to go get some dinner and hang out I guess." I said.

She stayed silent and her eyes grew. She was trying to see if I was lying or not.

"What?" She asked.

"He asked."

"He's married. And a dick."

"First they are getting divorced. Second we are just friends."

"Brooke. Don't do this. Don't." She said.

"We. Are. Just. Friends. I love Harry. You know that."

She rolled her eyes and throws her hands up in the air.

"No. I am not allowing you to do this."

I rolled my eyes and ran my hands through my hair. I heard Derek coming in the house and then he knocked on my door.

"Is that him?" She asked.

"Come in." I said.

He walks in with a smile and then sees who is on the screen.

"Hey El." He said while waving.

"Its Ellie." She shot at him.

He was clearly nervous. He was staying in the doorway and seemed to want to hide.

"I just wanted to say thanks for the pizza and that I'm heading out. See you at eight." He said.

"Ok bye."

He waves goodbye to Ellie, and then headed out.

"No." She said.

"I have to go." I said and then ended the Skype call.

There was no problem with going out with him right? I was bored and wanted some fun in order to get my mind off Harry. The front door opens and I figured it was my parents. I heard my mom walk in my room and I see her smiling.

"We brought movies!" She said with an excited smile.

"Oh. I um...actually I'm going out tonight." I said while getting up and getting some towels to go take a shower.

"With who?" She asked.

"...Derek."

"What?"

"As friends. We are friends!"

"Oh. Ok. Just be careful and don't stay out too late."

"I won't." I said while heading into my bathroom.

I took a nice, long, hot shower and then got dressed into some jeans and a sweatshirt. I didn't really care how I looked since it was just Derek. I put my hair in a bun and then dabbed a little makeup on.

I heard the doorbell ring and I figured it was Derek.

"Got it!" I said while heading to the door.

"Hey." Derek said.

"Hey. Be back later!" I yell to my parents while walking out.

"Ready to go get some dinner?" He asked.

"Definitely." I said with a smile.

We headed down to my old favorite restaurant. It was a cute little diner that had the best fries and milkshakes. We sat in a comfy booth and ordered a lot of food. I didn't care if I seemed fat because I had no one to impress.

"Hungry?" Derek asked.

"Yep." I said with a laugh.

He smiled at me and we start talking. It was weird how it felt normal to talk to him. It felt like the old times I found myself actually enjoying it. I was constantly laughing and so was he.

"What was that?" Derek asked.

"What?" I say while wiping some ketchup of my face.

"There was a flash?" He said.

I look over and see some paparazzi snapping photos of me and Derek.

"Shit." I said, knowing that this was not going to be good.
