I woke up with a start, fresh air spilling into my lungs. I looked around to see fresh leaves surrounding my un-earthed bed, I wondered why I was here. I looked at my necklace beside me and the black lily laced with pink threads. Groot must have made it, something hard was pressing into the small of my back, I turned around to see a small engraved stone. I read it... I died? But that's not possible, I'm alive now. I looked at my body to see the blood had soaked into the white toga I found myself wearing. But when I felt my skin I felt no squelch of blood, no pain or wounds. I felt healthy again... I dreamt I was in a white room, like the exam room and one teacher was sitting down in front of me... the old P.E. teacher...My dad. "Dad?" I asked him, he looked up at me his face crinkling as he smiled. "You can go home now." He said before I woke. I slowly stood up, my legs felt wobbly, like I had forgot how to walk. I heard turbine engines still running and ran for it. My feet meeting with the grass and leaves making it just more bearable for me to race through the jungle. Nobody was looking through the windows of the ship, nobody spotted me either. I had to get on the ship, but how? That was when I saw my holo-bike still strapped on the side, I fiddled with the key pad and got into the oxygen secure place. I made it, just as the ship took off.

My vision was once again blurred when I next woke up, I must have passed out or something. But what I saw shocked me a little bit, the people of Xandor were staring at me through the glass of my holo-bike. I opened the door, the Xandorians took a step back at the sight of my blood-stained dress. I changed into a cheetah and felt the fabric drop from my body. I bolted for the nova core, if the guardians were anywhere, it would be there. The buildings and the market zoomed past me as I ran for my life, into multiple people who then ran for their lives. Disoriented, I shook my head and looked up at the tall building known as the Nova core. My paws started to ache as I made it to the entrance, the pain felt nice, I haven't felt such pain since I died. The guards pushed me away from the gates and tried to put a collar around my neck. Nope, I charged through the guards and the gates in the form of a Rhino. The gates clanged onto the concrete as I barrelled towards the entrance. I jumped through the glass doors in the form of a lion and roared until my heart felt sore.

Rocket. I needed to find Rocket. They would be in the upper levels, I had to find them. My paws made fast paced thuds as I raced along the corridors, to fast to be spotted. I heard talking coming from an open doorway and decided to check It out. I sat before the arch of the door and peered into the room. I saw a woman with white hair, she was the leader here, Rocket and all the others were sitting before her, listening. Except Rocket, he was listening to my IPhone, and the pain in his eyes was so intense and had to stare at the floor for a moment. "This is a great tragedy, she would have made a nice recruit for the team, putting herself before others like that." She was talking about me! "We will give her a medal of honour, for her bravery. I just wanted to know what species she was..." The woman turned towards the holographic screen behind her. "Critterian." Gamora blurted out. "Excuse me?" The woman questioned. "Critterian, ma'am, she was the last of her kind." Gamora stared at the floor, all this past tense was making my head hurt.

"But, no one has seen a Critterian for over 50 years." The woman exclaimed. "Yeah, well this one was real and she saved our lives!" Rocket shouted, tears in his eyes. Oh my god, he's a wreck. "Rocket-"The woman started, but a guard burst in through the door behind her, he pulled his helmet off and saluted to the woman. "What is the problem?" she said seriously. "We have an unidentified creature in the building ma'am" His salute fell as he broke the news to her. I couldn't see her face but I could tell by her posture she wasn't happy. She stormed out of the room with the guard on her heels, towards me. I changed into a rat and scuttled behind the beam supporting the arch of the doorway as they strided away from the room.

"Do you think we should go and help?" Gamora asked the guardians, I watched intently, I didn't know what was holding me back from just popping up in front of them and going "Look whose back?" That would just scare the shit out of them. "Why should we? She can't just talk about Molly that way! Molly was an individual, like we all are!" Rocket shouted at the group dropping from his seat. Rocket...stop it. "Look we all know you are hurting right now Rocket, we all are, but that doesn't mean we can't help the people out there, they haven't done anything wrong!" Gamora stood up in front of him pointing at the window. "I'm not hurting like you guys are, she was different to me than she was to you guys. I...I loved her." Rocket sobbed. That big idiot, I shifted into a wolf and ran across the corridor, loud enough for them to hear and slow enough for them to see my tail curling around the turn.

The bright sun glared into my sight as I ran out of the way I came, the guards weren't here anymore, gone searching for me. But the gates before me were battered and deformed. I just padded around them and walked out of the grounds of the Nova Core. I heard shouting behind me, the guardians. I ran across a park, Xandorians scattered at the sight of me as a changed into a lemur and scrambled up a tree. My tiny chest was heaving, I peered around the branch I was leaning against to see the guardians running into the park, looking around for some unrecognised alien. "Where did it go?" Peter questioned the guardians. "I see no creature, are you sure you saw something furry one?" Drax asked Rocket. "I'm sure, I say something run out of the building." He told them. Groot lowered him off of his back as they scattered around the park, searching. Rocket cam towards my tree looking at it sincerely.
