"I must be crazy..." he mumbled. He started to climb up the trunk. I changed into a Racoon and started to climb further up myself. He must have seen the leaves falling as I scraped them off of the tree's branches. "Aha!" he cried out. I heard his climbing increase. I clawed for every hand and foot hold, not wanting him to see me. Not yet.... I got to the canopy of the tree and had nowhere else to go, leaves tangled into my hair as I shifted back into my natural form. Nowhere to go. I heard him break the leaves surface, he was right behind me, I was facing away from him, I was pretty sure he was facing away from me too. "Where are you?" He mumbled. The Racoon let out a sad sigh, "What's the point? I can't do it knowing she is gone." He was talking to himself, the goofball. "Are you sure she is gone?" I turned to face his back. He tensed up at the sound of my voice.

He slowly turned around to face me, when he met my eyes, I could see the tears and I couldn't help tearing up myself. "Rocket?" I looked at him, my eyebrows creased. "Molly...how?" he was shocked, happy but more shocked. "To be honest I really don't know." I laughed. I was scared he wasn't gonna like me anymore. He jumped on me...and hugged me. "I love you too." He whispered into my shoulder. I was shocked at his words, remembering the last words I said to him, 'I love you'. The tears were streaming down my fur now, he didn't care, and I could feel his own tears pricking my shoulder as he squeezed me. "Oh fucking god...Rocket, I love you so incredibly much. I'm not gonna leave you again, ever." I hugged him back until my arms started to hurt. I met his eyes as he pulled away, that spark reignited and became a fire, we blazed, brighter than the setting sun.

He helped me down the tree as the evening breeze hit me, I was naked. "Oh god, Rocket." He turned around and covered his eyes when he saw what I meant. Yeah, I'm furry but that doesn't help cover everything. "Where are my clothes?" I seethed at him. "Groot must have took them off before he buried you." I didn't mind a walking tree seeing my tits, but it didn't help that I was now standing in an abandoned park with nobody being able to help me except a Racoon. "Rocket, just get them from the ship." Rocket looked up at me, not my body, just my eyes and he held my stare. "Come with me, turn into a sparrow or something." He offered the idea to me. "Okay." I shifted into a humming bird and perched myself on his small shoulder.

When we got onto the ship we found that the guardians were already there. Gamora was sat at the table with Quill, Groot was sat next to the wall...asleep and Drax was leaning against the wall. Drax was the first one to notice Rocket, he walked towards us. "Furry one, I know personally that it hurts emotionally when someone you love...passes, you will see her again one day." Rocket smiled up at Drax, no tears. "Thanks Drax." Rocket side stepped around him (Drax's face dropped as Rocket's carelessness made him slightly suspicious) and made his way to Groot's cabin. "You should stay in the bathroom, Groot doesn't let anyone in his room except me, personal reasons." Rocket told me, I nodded and flew towards the bathroom. The door flew open for me and I perched on top of the mirrored cabinet. "I'll be back in a sec." Gamora said quickly outside the door. I didn't have to move, she wouldn't see me. She burst through the door with her hand covering her mouth, and vomited into the toilet. When she was finished she slowly got off her knees and stood up, "Stupid mourning sickness. I wish Molly were here." Gamora hugged herself. I flew down and perched myself on her shoulder, she turned her head towards me and smiled, tears shining in her eyes.

"I can't believe it! How?" I gave my wings a simple shrug. "OH, gosh, Molly, you saw didn't you? I was gonna wait to tell the others but... things happened." I nodded in agreement, I understood. Rocket took this as his chance to walk into the bathroom with my jumpsuit, once again draped over his tiny shoulders. He looked up and saw Gamora, "Don't tell the others...yet" Rocket added after throwing his hands up. I pointed at the door, they understood that I needed privacy. I changed into my natural form once they got out of the room. I zipped the familiar jump suit up and just felt grateful, the rips from my cuts had somehow disappeared and there was no blood stains. Groot...he buried me on that planet...he knew.

"Rocket?" I whispered out the door, nobody was in the hallway. Until I heard footsteps, they were heavy. Drax. I quietly shut the door, but the load click of the lock didn't solve anything. The door burst open and Drax pinned me up against the wall, his meaty hand meeting my neck. "Who are y-...Molly?" he set me down on the floor, I almost coughed up a hairball as air shooted down my throat. "You...you're-"he started "Not dead...yeah, it's a lot to take in, I know." He looked at me shocked, he didn't believe me but I was right in front of him. "Look...Groot and Quill don't know yet, so don't tell them, find Rocket and tell him to get his butt back here right now." I ordered him, he nodded slowly and walked out of the door, his footprints heavier than before.

I heard Rocket's feet scuttle on the floor as he made his way back to the bathroom. "Hey, what's up?" Rocket came in completely unfazed by the fact that Drax now knew I wasn't dead. "Groot knew I wasn't truly dead, or he knew how to regenerate me, or something like that..." I lingered off the lines of the conversation. "Wait...What?" Rocket did a double take. He held his paws up palms facing towards me, he obviously was trying to take this in. "he...he knew?" Rocket asked a little bit confused and...hurt. "But Groot is my best friend, he would tell me if he knew how to bring you back to life. How is that even possible anyway?" Rocket was getting a bit pissed off, I could hear it in his voice, I only just realised how well I knew Rocket. His voice signalling which emotions and his difficult to decipher facial expressions. I hadn't realised until now...but I've had a crush on him for a while now...until I died and then I didn't have feeling for anything until I woke up and the first thing that came into my mind was Rocket. "Rocket, calm down. I'm alive now, that's what matters...right?" I asked him seriously. "Yeah...I love you...and that is what matters to me." Rocket stroked my furry cheek with his paw as we finally made our way outside the bathroom.

I forgot all about Quill until I saw his leather-clad back facing me. Everyone else saw me and gasped even though they all knew I was alive...including Groot. "What?" Quill's head whipped around to meet everyone's faces...except mine. For I had jumped into the rafters so he wouldn't see me, I don't know why I was so afraid to let people know that I am alive. Thank god, nobody looked up at me when I jumped though. There were a couple good advantages of having limbs like a feline for I could jump to incredible heights...like a cat. Quill still looked confused as everyone's shocked expressions started to settle into his brain. "Hey...um-guys, it's your friend Quill. Would you mind telling me WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" Quill shouted in their faces until Gamora looked at him with a hurt expression...a distraction. Thank you Gamora!
