"Molly go in the bathroom and I'll talk to Quill" I nodded in agreement to Rocket's statement and grasped the nearest blanket and wrapped it round my naked torso. Running into the bathroom, the cold from the floor tiles hit my feet shocking me from the sleep I was in just moments ago. I heard shouting come from the bedroom and I wanted to desperately drown it out of my system. So, I switched the shower on. Yeah, I know, 'Cats are supposed to be afraid of water' but I don't believe that kind of crap, I mean I don't 'land on my feet' all the time either. I don't like the thought of licking myself clean either... ugh. The water hit my furry back and dampened my back and legs. It made my eyes pop out of my head...okay I don't like the feeling of water unless I'm a fish, but I don't want to drown or suffocate just so... not the point. I could hear the now faint shouting as I leaned my head into the shower water. My hair fell soaked around my face as the door opened...

Rocket came into the bathroom, no longer shy of seeing my naked body. I turned away from him though, I was still modest. "Don't be like that..." he said, obviously amused. "What did he say?" I asked him, he wouldn't step into the shower, I knew he didn't like water, not even getting wet for that matter. "Quill's shocked, of course, but he is talking to Gamora now...so he's fine." Rocket didn't answer my question but I would tackle him with it later. "Get in here..." I ordered him seductively. He smiled at me briefly but his smile soon disappeared as he eyed the water. I just grabbed his arms and held him in my arms, he shivered for a couple seconds but settled...because he was in my arms.

A couple days later... I was sent to the Nova Core, along with the other guardians of course. An unexpected ceremony was held, and I was given a medal of honour and this is what the Nova-Prime said...

"People of Xandar" (Yes, the entire population of Xandar was there including the army, I was so nervous) I welcome you here today to hand a very special medal to Molly... I'm so sorry I didn't catch your last name." The Nova Prime laughed, inclining her head to me. "I...um" I gestured for her head to come closer to me/away from the microphone. "I don't have one." I whispered into her ear. "Oh... I see, well, Molly the critterian, a medal of honour for saving the planet of Claytex from three villains with the help of the guardians of course." She didn't know the third one escaped?!?! I made sure the shock didn't show up on my face. "So I present you this medal to show a small piece of our gratitude towards you." I bowed my head in appreciation and accepted the medal as she pinned it to my new Nova-core jumpsuit (MADE FOR MY ABILTIES YASSSSS!!!) it was blue and white and it looked like a larger version of Rocket's which made it even more favourable to me. "Thank you." I whispered to her, she returned my nod.

Later we had a glass of champagne on the Milano before we decided to take off for a new planet to explore and head back to old ones. Until a solider called Day ran up to the Milano and knocked on the door. "Yes?" I peeked over the door as it lowered down to him out of breath in the doorway. "Telegram from the Nova-Prime, she said you have to come to The Nova Core...Immediately" he said between breaths. I scanned the telegram and caught my breath. "What's the matter?" Rocket asked me peeking into my vision. I had my hand over my mouth in shock as he took my hand into his small one. "I need to go to Nova-Core...now." I added breathlessly. Then I ran out of the door in the form of a cheetah and not another word had formed in my mouth as the urgency of the telegram filled my head.

"Spill." I slammed my palms onto the Nova-Prime's desk as she turned towards me in her swivel chair. "We did some research on your species and...what we found was not what we expected." A picture of a planet, the planet I was buried on. "I know that planet..." I said staring intently at its green surface. "You should...we found that this is your species home planet." She pointed towards the hologram of my new home. "No way..." Joyful tears pricked at my eyes. "I was raised on Langoria and never knew that... I had a home planet..." I heard soft footprints behind me and turned around to find the whole group of guardians. I ran towards Rocket and hugged him as I skidded onto my knees. "I- I..." I sobbed in happiness on his small shoulder. "You have a home planet." He finished for me. "Yeah...I do." I confirmed. He smiled against my neck and kissed me. "I wasn't finished you know." The Nova-Prime Called over to us. I turned towards her and gave her a glare that said 'are you serious?' I slowly walked over to the white haired woman and stared at the screen intently as a pencil drawn picture of my species and one of Groot's came up on the screen as well as a paragraph of information.

"What does this mean?" I said after taking in the images. "Your species and Groot's belong to the same planet." I turned towards Groot ad just saw him looking as confused as I was. "I am Groot?" Groot questioned her. "You and Groot's species lived in harmony together before an extinction crisis came in...Groot's species helped the Critterians live by growing a plant called a lace flower, it helped Critterians that were critically hurt come back to life and or heal in a state of regeneration, and only Groot's species could grow these plants, no seeds for them at all. But one thing is for sure...you too are both the last of your species." She confirmed.

There was a moment of silence as we all processed this in our minds. I ended up hugging Groot and he hugged me back. "Thank you Groot." I mumbled into his wooden chest. After we said goodbye to Day and the Nova-Prime we headed back to the Milano, in need of sleep. I volunteered to drive since I wasn't as tired as everyone else. Gamora offered me her champagne since she refused to drink because she was-"Molly?" Gamora called me, I looked behind the driver's seat to see her standing on the stairs. The green skinned woman made her way towards me and sat in the passenger seat. "You still haven't told him have you?" I asked her, she nodded forlornly. "Gamora come on! It's not as hard as seems, he will still love you. I know Quill just tell him!" I nudged her shoulder. "Tell me what?" Quill bounded down the stairs, Gamora stood up so suddenly she spilled the champagne in my hand. "That I shouldn't drink 'n' drive!" I handed the now empty glass to Quill as I rushed to the bathroom to fetch a towel for the spilt drink.
