Change of Plans

The Interview

Back at headquarters

Abby sits at the table inside Jaha's office. Marcus sits by Abby trying to get the handcuffs off.

"Did Emerson says anything else to you? His plans? Cage's plan?" Jaha questions.

"No. Not real- OW!" Abby screams, yanking her hands away as she screams at Marcus.

Marcus holds his hands up, then chuckles, "sorry. Its not my fault. You would think hands so dainty would be easy to break handcuffs off."

Marcus holds this hand out waiting for Abby to give hers Back to him. She easily sets her hands back onto his. They look into each others eyes. "Abby?" Jaha interrupts. Marcus goes back to work.

"Listen let's just say he wasn't in the talking mood." Abby says. Staring at Marcus's hands trying to free hers.

Jaha looked around with a confused look on his face.

Marcus mutters, "I'd like to give that jerk a talk." The handcuffs snap off.

Abby rubs her wrists and puts her shirt back on.

Marcus leans back in his chair. "So now what?"

"Now. You two get ready for an interview with Callie's team." Jaha says.

"What? Media? Jaha. Are you sure that's a good idea?" Marcus asks with an insulting look on his face.

Abby looks at him with a hurtful look.

Flashback

"Hey honey. How was work?" Jake says from The couch as he hears Abby walk in.

Abby sits on the couch beside him. Jake kisses her neck. "Come on Jake. It was boring as usual. Sorting through millions of interviews and stories from dozens of reporters." Jake kisses behind her ear. "I want to do something I like. I wish I wouldn't have dropped out of med school. We could be living nice."

"Hey. I don't care about having nice things besides I just started my new job and you know how well Jaha pays. All I need is you" Jake comforts her.

Present Day

"I'm just saying Jaha! Reporters are sneaky. They are liars. Cheaters. Whatever word you want to use." Marcus said.

With every word, Abby was getting closer to her boiling point.

"Marcus everything will be fine." Jaha reassures.

"You can't say that! Reporters. Interviewers. The media in general destroy people's lives!" Marcus argues.

Abby had had enough.

"Okay! Listen! You guys may not like it! But Callie's interviewer is going to be here! And we ARE going to have to talk to him or her! So I suggest you two get ready!" Abby yelled.

Both men look at her shocked. They are both about to say something when there is a knock on the door. "Finn Collins. Callie sent me." The reporter said.

"Come on in." Jaha says.

The young man walks in with about five other people. "Sorry these are my camera men and some of them are reporters so we can get these interviews over quick."

"Let's do this." Jaha said.

Marcus's interview

Question: "so you're the new guy. How do you feel about this job?"

Marcus: "I think that this job is made for certain people. Just like any other job. And I think I was made for this job. And I plan to succeed in any conflict that america may face."

Jaha's interview

Question: "So do you feel intimidated by the terrorist and their unknown plans for the U.S.?"

Jaha: "This job is extremely complicated and difficult. I don't know if we will succeed. But we're gonna try our best."

Abby's interview

Question: "so how do you feel about your job and the terrorists?"

Abby: "I'm going to be honest America. I'm scared. Afraid that I won't be good enough. But I can assure you, as long as I'm still breathing. I'll do everything in my power to protect America."

End of interviews

The three meet back in Jaha's office. "So how'd it go?" Jaha asks.

"Great," Marcus answered truthfully, "easier than I thought it would be."

"Abby?" Jaha asks raising his eyebrow.

"Just another interview. See you guys later." Abby said.

"Abby. Be at the staff party tonight." Jaha said.

"Yeah, of course." Abby answered.

"That wasn't a question." Jaha said.

"I think I'll go home too. Get ready for tonight." Marcus said.

"See you tonight." Jaha said.

"See ya."

Yay!!!!! Another chapter!!! Only one more week of Christmas break. *tear*tear.......anyways enjoy:)
