Look at the picture. Its Kane and Abby in Polis.

Abby grabs her duffel bag/suitcase out of her car and walked to Jaha's office.

She is wearing shorts and a dressy, but light blouse and of course sunglasses.

She walked into Jaha's office and saw Jaha and of course Mr. 'I'm always early' Kane.

She puts her stuff down by the door. She walked toward the two men.

"I can't believe we have to go on a stupid unnecessary bonding Trip." Abby said, pulling her sunglasses off.

"Its not unnecessary. You two need to learn to work as a team."

"Yeah. Come on. I'm even on board with this. It'll be fun Abs." Marcus said trying to infuriate her.

Abby gave him a death glare, "don't call me abs." She said coldly.

"Brr. You two have some warming up to do." Jaha says. (Kabby fanfic request for the first one to comment what movie this quote is from)

Abby's phone rings, "its Callie. One second." She tells the two guys before answering.

"Callie. What's up?"

"Abby. I need to tell you something." Callie said through the phone.

"Callie. What's wrong? You're voice is shaky." Abby asks.

"I love you."

Flashback

A/N: (Because I'm a nice person. I'll give yet another chance for a kabby fanfic request. Whoever can comment first what TV show this scene is from will get a chance to request a prompt for me to write. Here's a hint. The series is a Netflix series and is produced by marvel.)

Abby and Callie are sitting in Abby's car. "Hey Abby. I was thinking. In case something ever goes wrong. We should have a key word or phrase. You know so we know that something went wrong. Something you would never say. Like pickles or cream cheese-"

"I love you." Abby says cutting her off.

"Oh. Yeah. Uh...yeah. 'I love you' would work." Callie says.

Present day

"I love you."

The words hit Abby hard. Their key phrase. What was wrong.

Abby was about to calm herself down, but then she heard the gunshot.

Abby flinched, then slumped to the ground.

A few hours later

Abby stands in the waiting room of the hospital, waiting for news on Callie.

The waiting room is small and also a private waiting room where only one family stays. In this case, where Marcus, Abby, and Jaha sit and wait.

Well. Jaha and Marcus were sitting. Abby was wearing a path in the cold tile floor.

It fells like decades have passed since the last report.

'Callie Cartwig. Still in surgery.'

The doctor came in. Abby looked at him with hope.

He didn't return the look.

"Callie died in surgery. I'm sorry the wounds were too great. There was nothing we could do." Dr. Jackson says.

Jaha gets up and walks out with the Dr., Thanking him for doing his best.

Abby slumps down on the couch and breaks down.

Marcus takes Abby in his arms and holds her. "I'm so sorry Abby. For everything."

Abby wraps her arms around his waist. "I can't do this. Not without her. She was like my sister. She was my best friend." She says between shaky breaths.

"Hey. We're gonna get through this together. We're gonna be okay."

Abby looks up at him, tears streaming down her face. Her eyes red and puffy. "How? How do you know that?"

He looks down into her eyes, so full of grief. "I don't."

He didn't know her face could fall anymore. But it did. Abby leans her head back into his chest

"But," Marcus says tilting her chin up, forcing her to look at him. He continues when she finally looks up into his eyes, "I know Callie wouldn't want you to quit. And you're not going to. I want let you."

Abby pulls her hands out from around his waist and wraps them around his neck.

"Abby. I know your grieving, and you...we can't do this. Not right now." Marcus says.

"You know what you're problem is Kane," Abby says as she shifts placing her legs on either sides of his legs, "you talk too dang much."

Her lips crash against his. Her hands find his hair. And his hands find her face. He rubs both sides of her face with his thumbs.
