March 17th came alot faster than it should. The ticket said the plane departure's time was going to be at 10 O'clock in the morning. I arrived at the airport bright and early at 7. I dragged all my luggage to the baggage check in.

The lady behind the counter dressed in the usual pencil skirt and flight attendent hat topped off with an ascot. She tilts her head to the side and gives me a forced smiled as I approached the counter. "It looks like someone was unsure of what to pack for her trip.Hehehe!" I glanced down at all the zebra suitcases next to me. The ascot lady was right. Maybe six suitcases was a little bit too much, but I'm going to be gone for a whole year! I don't want to regret not bringing that one shirt or pair of shoes.

Baggage was measure and taken in, I got the body scanned, and now finally to the terminal gate for my passport check. The police officer flipped through the passport. "Here you go ma'am have a ni-" "SABRINA!"

Wait what? That voice sounded too familiar. It can't be...No No NO! I swung my self around to confirm who I thought it would be. "DAVIS?!" He was sprinting and shoving the people waiting in line behind me out of the way. "What are y-" He interrupted me as he finally crashed into me and wrapped me in his arms. "Why didn't you tell me?" He mourned. I couldn't believe it. I'm completely stunned. He came all the way here just so he could see me for the last time. "I-I I was stupid." I admitted. He pulled away from the hug so that he could meet my eye contact.I'm curious about how he found out.

"How did you find out?"

"Candice."

"Of course."

Candice could always tell when I'm lying. It's no surprise that she went to talk to him about me leaving.

I turned my attention to see how the police officer reacted about this whole scene. He was beaming red. Davis noticed too. "I don't think I can be here for long. But I just wanted to tell you how happy I am for you to have such an awesome opportunity and I'm going to miss you so much." Then he winked at me. I've never given myself such a gigantic mental face palm before. Candice must of told him what he "supposedly said" when I "told him I was leaving". He gave me a final hug and placed a gentle peck on my forehead. Then he turned to head back his way before I could say anything.

...Am I dreaming? The police officer interruped my moment of surprise. "Come on let's keep the line movin'! Have a nice flight." I waddled my little body passed the terminal gate. My jaw was hanging by a thread and my eyes were bulged out of my sockets. He kissed my forehead. He kissed my forehead! I irish kicked myself to the plane and got situated in the seat. The plane lifted off and the flight attendent's voice came on through the speakers. "We will arrive in Seoul, South Korea in approximately 15 hours and 54 minutes." Woah. Talk about time to spare. This is the perfect time to study Korean. By the time I get there I will be a pro!

I unzipped my backpack that was under my seat and got out the most perfect book. "Beginner Korean For Kids." Then I flipped to the first page. "Chapter 1: Hello, Goodbye and How Are You?" It showed pictures of a social senario between a cartoon cat and dog. The cat on the left had his arm raised and said "Hello! Annyeonghaseyo!" The dog on the right replied " How are you? Eotteohge dangsin-eun?" Then the picture below had the cat say back to the dog "Goodbye! Annyeonghi gaseyo!" And the cat walks away from the dog with the same arm in the air, and same facial expression. Well dang flabbit cat! You can't just start a conversation like that and walk away! Especially with a dog, it's like your asking for it.
