Emily's POV

As we approached closer and closer to the girls the more my mind began to race, What if Cece is still mad at me? What if the girls are mad at me because of the Cece incident? What Alison doesn't play along? Oh my god, what if Alison already told the girls?!? What if they are mad at me that I didn't te- "Hey guys!" I smiled shakily already dreading their response.

"Emily..." Cece said unenthusiastically, whelp that answered my first question.

"Hey E-" Hanna shouted out excitedly before she stopped mid sentence. Causing me to break awkward eye contact with Cece and look at Hanna. Who is in just as much shock as Caleb. Hanna and Caleb are basically staring into each others souls. And If I'm being honest, it's kind of adorable.

"Ahem...Caleb, says something to her" I secretly whispered to Caleb while lightly gabbing him in the side with my elbow.

Caleb continued staring at Hanna, clearly unaffected by my attempt to grasp his attention. Must I do everything for this helpless child.

I used every ounce of guilt and nervousness in my body and tried to us it as confidence when talking to the girls.

"Um girls...this is my best friend Toby." I turned and pointed to the very relaxed looking Toby. While barely hearing what Alison mumbled under her breath which quite honestly made me nervous, considering I couldn't make out what she said.

I cleared my throat, "This is my cousin Caleb. They'll be here in town for a while."

"Um boys, this is Cece, Hanna, um uh Alison, Spencer, and Aria." I introduced the girls in the order they where sitting. Cece, Hanna, and Alison were all on one couch while Spencer and Aria sat in two chairs next to the extremely comfortable orange couch.

"These are um my friends," "Sadly" Cece quietly  shot.

"Uh that I met at um Rosewood Day. Cece can I have a word?"

"I believe that was six words!" Cece sassed back.

"Please" I tried again.

"Ugh" Cece rolled her eyes and got up. Caleb quickly stole her seat.

"I'm coming back, don't get to comfortable with Hanna!" Cece spat at Caleb.

I let Cece lead the way...ok, maybe I did that just so I could look at her ass. Hey, no one ever said you couldn't look.

As we were heading to what looked like the back of the brew, I could faintly hear Caleb introducing himself to Hanna, and making a subtle compliment about how pretty her smile was. Which made me smile.

"You should learn a few things from your cousin what's his name Carter?." Cece said while we stopped walking and sat down.

"Caleb" I corrected her. "Pfft yeah right, he learned from me!"

"Right, because you're the total charmer hu?!"

"Don't act like I didn't sweep you off your feet and make you swoon over me." I playfully teased Cece while scrunching my nose at her. The blonde stuck her tongue out at me, then we both burst out into laughter.

"You know Cece I miss you, as my best friend that is"

"I hate to admit it...but I miss you to kid"

"Kid?!? We're the same age!...Sooo um are we good now?" I asked nervously.

"Only! If you still promise to pretend to be my girlfriend if anyone unworthy tries to hit on me"

"It would be my rightful honor!" I exclaimed while I put my arm around Cece's shoulder and dragged her back to our friends. My eyes immediately locked with Alison's and I could be mistaken but she looked...jealous.

The comfortable chair next to the couch was being occupied by Toby. He saw Cece and I approaching and he immediately got off the chair. I honestly love my Tobs.

"Thanks Tobs!" I gently ushered Cece to the newly open chair.

"Are you kidding, come on we can share!" Cece yanked my hand and pushed me on the chair. It took me a while to process how she could have possibly dragged me so quickly. I mean she looks like the heaviest thing she's ever carried is her attitude or like shopping bags.

Oh Emily your hilarious, you crack yourself up.

Next thing I now I'm snapped out of my thoughts by the weight of Cece's body on my lap. I looked down and see her cuddled into my chest I brought my arm around her and gently rubbed her upper arm. I'm glad things are back to normal and not awkward with Cece.

I catch a quick whiff of what smelled like, midnight jasmine, which totally suits Cece. I look up and see what looks like Alison secretly glaring at Cece. I quietly chuckle to myself.

Cece looked up at me, "What's so funny?"

"Yeah Emily, what is so funny?!" Alison asked.
