Chapter 24

Emily's POV

Then my stomach drops and everyone's laughter almost immediately dies.

I try to catch my breath but all I can feel is my heart skipping a beat and my mind immediately starts racing.

Isn't it ironic how red, white & blue represent freedom until they're flashing right behind you!? But then again, I was speeding wayyy over the limit.

I quickly and safely pull over, "Nobody say a word."

"How about two, Oh shit!"

I quickly turn around, "I'm serious Hanna!"

I turn on the dome lights, considering it's kinda hard to see in here.

Suddenly there's a knock on the window, I turn back around and roll down the window. I turn off the car and put on the emergency brake, trying to prove that I have no intent to drive away or something crazy.

To my surprise he cuts straight to the chase, "Do you know why I pulled you over?" He says cheekily.

"No, Sir"

He lightly chuckles, "License and registration?"

I pull down my sun visor and take out my registration and pull out my wallet from my front pocket, considering we just came back from the restaurant and that's where Hanna shoved it in.

I take out my drivers license and hand him both. He looks at them both then suddenly turns white. Almost as if he's seen a ghost.

Spencer and I share weird looks through the rear view mirror. I clear my throat, "Um is there a problem, Officer?"

"This car, its registered under Pam and Wayne Fields?" He says kind of shocked.

"Um yes, sir. They're my parents." I say slightly confused.

"Oh!! I'm terribly sorry for pulling you over, Ms. Fields." He says while hastily handing me back my papers and license.

"You may go. Oh! And tell your parents I say hi."

I cheekily smile, "Will do officer..."

"...Holbrook, Gabriel Holbrook."

"Ohhh. Alright, will do." So this is Gabriel.

He walks away and I lean back in my seat. "What the hell was that?!" Hanna says.

"Honestly," I start the car, "I don't know."

Toby takes my wallet and puts my license in there and then quickly shoves it in his pocket.

"Emily, please tell me these aren't Momma Pam's!"

Then he starts waving underwear on front of my face. "What the hell!" I say while slapping them out of my face.

Hanna and Aria start cracking up, "Dang Momma Pam, can rock sexy underwear!" Aria chimes in causing everyone to laugh.

I look at the underwear again and sigh in relieve. "Guys, calm down I think these are Alison's or maybe Cece's!" I say while throwing the underwear in the back, to the girls.

"Eww, Em!! Gross!" Hanna says while throwing them to Cece and Alison in the back.

Someone throws it back up and it lands on Toby's head, causing everyone to crack up. I pull them off and smell them knowing that they are brand new.

Long story short, Aria made me pee my pants and I had to buy a new pair, and she just shoved the extra in the glove compartment. So she's just playing along with me.

As I'm smelling them I say, "Oh yeah definitely Ali's" I say out loud. I look through the rear view mirror and wink at her. I shove them in my pocket and reach over in the glove compartment while driving. Only to pull another pair out.

"But these, these are definitely Hanna's!" I say pulling out some more.

"Here's Aria's!" I say throwing them all back, "Here's Cece. Oh don't forget Caleb's!"

Soon enough we're all laughing again and I pull up to the girls house.

We all get down and wait for Cece to open the door.

Once the door is open, Alison pushes past Cece and runs upstairs. To what I'm guessing is her room.

"I'll go check on her." Hanna says while we all go to their living room where Cece starts setting up the movie.

I bend down to where Cece is, "I'm going to go use your bathroom." I tell her while she nods, to focused on starting the movie.

I get up and make my way towards the bathroom but instead I go upstairs. I'm making my way to Alison's room, when I hear Hanna talking.

"So what you're telling me is that, after Emmy saved you from sleazy ass Noel you decide to go hang out with him. Over us." She playfully teases at the end.

"No Han, I wasn't going to actually meet up him. I just used him as an excuse-"

"A dumb excuse." Hanna interrupts. "Wait! Ew barf, please don't tell me you were actually going to go see Gabriel."

"No, Hanna. I wasn't, besides even if I was. What's so wrong with it?"

"Nothing... I just thought you liked-you know what, never mind. I'm just happy Em beat Noel's ass."

I didn't want to continue eavesdropping on their conversation so I thought It was only best to interrupt it.

On a totally off topic note, my knuckles are burning, maybe it was the chlorine that got in my cuts.

I step back and knock on the door slightly wincing because of my knuckles.

"Come in!" Says Hanna.

I walk in holding my hand, "Sorry to interrupt but the movie is about to start soo.." I say pointing at the door then going back to holding my hand.

Hanna gets up off of Ali's bed and starts walking towards me while I just give her a puzzled look.

She grabs my hands and separates them. "Ouch! Didn't that sting diving into the pool?"

"I guess I was to focused to notice." I shrug and Alison starts making her way toward us.

"Let me see." She harshly grabs my hand and I wince. "I'll be right back."

Alison walks out of the room, "Sorry, she's a little out of it today."

I raise my eyebrows quizzically, "Really? I was starting to think that's just how she always is."

Hanna just laughs, "No, she not."

"Are you?" I say as I step closer to her.

"Are you always this much of a flirt?"

I laugh and follow Hanna to Alison's bed, "I guess but I'm not flirting with you, not that I wouldn't or anything because trust me Hanna you're a very beautiful girl with a killer personality and body." I playfully elbow her, "I think someone else has their eyes on you! I just want to make sure he knows what he's getting himself into. I mean you basically ate my jaw off the other day" I tease, referring to that day she randomly made out with me, but this time it's her turn to elbow me.

"Sorry to break this love fest but I'm back." Alison happily sing song while holding a safety kit.

"Well, while you and Ali play doctor," Hanna winks, "I'm gonna go watch the movie, bye bitches!"

I can't believe Hanna just said that. Hopefully Alison didn't catch that naughty innuendo.

"Let me see your boobs."

"What?!!" I say extremely shocked.

"Your hand, Emily! Let me see your hand!"

Woah did I real just-okay I need to get my head out of the gutter.
