"Hey Soph! Have you seen my pearl earrings?" Athena, my older sister, shouted from her room."No!" I answered as I continued scrolling through my phone.
Thank heavens that our parents were out of town for a month. They said they needed a break from us. Fortunately, so did we.
I stood up from my bed and went to the kitchen to get some food.
When I passed the living room, I saw Athena in a red, heart top dress that reached until below her knees, black heels and a black purse. Her brown hair was in an elegant top bun, her lips were covered in red lipstick, her eyes were powdered with light brown eye shadow and she had a necklace and an earring made out of pearls.
The sound of a car stopping in our drive way could be heard.
"I'll be back by 10:00. Be careful" Athena said.
"Yeah, yeah. It's not like you've never left me in the house before. Go enjoy your evening with Ryan" I said.
She smirked before walking out the door, into the arms of her boyfriend.
I wish I was like Athena. You know, curvy, short but gorgeous, witty, and have a love life. And what do I have? Food. She always tells me that she envies me. Hah. She's just saying that because she's my older sister.
I continued to the kitchen and got a sandwich from the pantry. I sat down on the couch and continued scrolling through my phone whilst eating my sandwich.
I nearly choked on my sandwich as I remembered something. One Direction's concert was tomorrow. And Athena bought tickets last week.
I squealed as I jumped up from the sofa. It's always been a dream of mine to meet One Direction. Especially Niall Horan. God, he is perfect. What more could a girl ask for?
Right now, it was 8:00 in the evening. Might as well sleep now so I don't get eye bags tomorrow, right? I did my evening routine and went to bed.
I didn't actually fall asleep immediately. I just laid there, staring at the ceiling. I'm gonna see One Direction tomorrow. lIVE. I felt my eyes slowly closing as I fell asleep with smile.

I woke up the next day to my sister screaming. Or so, I thought it was the next day.
I turned to my digital clock beside my bed. It was literally 3 in the morning.
I heard something made of glass break and that's when I finally bolted to the living room which is where I heard the boise from.
When I reached the living room, I saw Athena at a corner with her knees up to her chest, her arms wrapped around them.
I looked around the living room. There were 2 broken vases near the couch, several hard items beside the door, her purse on the couch, her heels at the front door.
I looked back at Athena. Her hair was now down and messy.
I slowly approached her.
"Athena?" I asked as I kneeled down in front of her.
She lifted her head revealing her red and puffy eyes. Her make-up was now smudged.
I gasped lightly and hugged her. She hugged me back and cried on my shoulder.
"What happened?" I asked.
"He told me to wait in the restaurant because he forgot his wallet. When I looked out the windows, he was snogging a redhead" Athena managed to say through sobs.
I grew both sad and angry.
"That jerk! He doesn't deserve you!" I said as I hugged her tightly.
"It hurts Soph" Athena cried.
I helped us up and lead her to the couch. I made her face me and sighed.
"Don't waste your tears on a guy like him. You deserve so much better. This isn't your loss, it's his" I said.
"Really?" Athena asked, still sniffling a bit.
"Really" I said with a smile.
"Thanks Soph" Athena said with a slight smile.
"You know what'll make you feel even better?" I asked.
"What?" Athena asked, raising an eyebrow.
I grinned.
"One Direction's concert is in 16 hours" I said.
Athena smiled widely.
"That definitely made me feel better" Athena said, her hazel green eyes sparkling.
