XIX. Family

=Niall=

"You feeling any better?" I asked Sophia after we got home. We decided to go to the club after Sophia calmed down

"Yeah, just a little tired" She answered. We left the club early since Sophia wasn't feeling well.

"You need to rest, Princess" I told her as I carried her bridal style.

"Niall!" Sophia squealed, surprised by my sudden action.

I brought her to the bed and laid her down. (That sounds so sexual 😂)

"Can you please stay with me?" Sophia asked, looking at me with puppy dog eyes.

"My pleasure! You should change first" I said.

She got up and dug through her suitcase for her PJ's.

As she went inside the bathroom, I sat on the bed, thinking. I've been planning to go to Ireland with her so that she can meet my family. I just don't know how to ask her.

I practiced by myself as I sat on the bed.

"Sophia, I know we've been together for awhile now, Maybe you'd like to come with me to Ireland, my family would love to meet you. So, you wanna come?" I practiced.

"Sure! Why not! When are we leaving?" Sophia suddenly answered.

Not expecting an answer, I jumped a bit when I heard her voice. I felt my face flush as I turned to face her.

"I uh.. I was practicing." I said, my voice coming out in a higher pitch.

"Practicing for what?" Sophia asked hanging her towel on the rack as she laughed a bit when she realized she had caught me practicing over that.

"I.... uhhh" I tried to say.

"Why would you need practice? Did you think I don't wanna go? Of course I wanna go! Who wouldn't?" She said with a wide smile etched into her features. I sighed with relief.

Sophia made her way towards me and sat down beside me.

"So, when are we gonna leave?" She asked.

"This time next week?" I said, asking more than stating.

"Sure! Wait." She frowned.

What might be the problem this time? I asked myself.

"What is it?" I asked as I scooted closer to her.

"What if they don't like me?" She said looking down.

I put two fingers under her chin and her eyes met mine.

"Hey, I can assure you that they won't like you." I stopped for a second. Her face fell.

"Niall! That makes this situation worse!" Sophia said.

"Hey, I'm not finished yet! They will love you!" I said and smiled.

"Don't scare me like that" She said pouting.

I kissed her without even warning her, she was a bit shocked but kissed back after a few moments. I pulled away, our foreheads touching.

"Don't worry about a thing" I whispered brushing my lips past hers.

"Don't tease me" She said as she giggled.

I kissed her once more before standing up.
