XIV. Revelations

=Sophia=

"First you try to make my girlfriend seem like a horrible person and now you want me to break up with her!?" Niall said, anger visible on his face.

"What? No! I'm just saying that you should keep that girlfriend of yours in check. She is being rude as hell to your supposed best friend!" I shouted making air quotations on the word best friend.

"Literally it was just yesterday that you were all friends and stuff. Now you're lying about her!" Niall said, his voice starting to rise.

"I'm not lying! Why would I even lie about something like this!?" I said throwing my hands in the air.

"You could've told me that you were jealous of Claire and I's relationship." Niall said while standing up and walking away.

"So what if I am!? I am jealous but not in the way you're thinking of! I miss my bestfriend! Ever since Claire entered the picture, you never talk to me anymore! It's like I'm living with a stranger that doesn't even know I exist! I've been cancelling a dozen plans with Harry just to spend time with you! But what do you do!? You head off with Claire! You know what!? Fine! Be with your girlfriend!" I said as I stomped out of our flat and headed to Athena's, hot tears flowing down my cheeks.

Why is this happening to me?

She stormed out of our flat with tears falling from her eyes.

I can't believe myself. Why am I so stupid!? I can't do that to her! I lost my last chance. That's what I get for being so stupid. Maybe something's just aren't meant to be.

I sighed as I ran my fingers through my hair, looking down as I pondered over the fact that I made the girl who I actually love cry. No, I can't lose her. I love her and that's that. I refuse to let her go.

I picked up my phone and called Claire.

"Hello?" Claire said from the other end.

"Hi, uh, Claire could you come over?" I said

"Sure! Be there in 10" Claire said and I clicked end.

Why the hell did I even ask Claire to be my girlfriend in the first place? What was I thinking?! Oh right, to try to forget my feelings about Sophia. Which lead to Sophia dating Harry. Which lead to this. Stupid domino effect.

I just sat there getting drowned by my own thoughts. After 10 minutes Claire came.

"Hey babe" Claire greeted as she kissed my cheek. No. Just no.

"Hey, can I ask you something?" I asked. She adjusted on the sofa and nodded.

"What did you tell Sophia?" I said trying not to shout.

"Well, she's getting close to you, and she's trying to steal you away from me." She grabbed my hand but I pulled away.

"First of all, she was always close to me. More than you ever will be. Now, what did you tell her?" I said as my fists were clenched in anger.

"I told her to stay away from you" Claire said, a triumphant smirk on her face as if I would congratulate her. Oh how I wanted to wipe that smirk off by punching her. But that would just ruin me, wouldn't it?

"Why the hell did you do that?! She has a boyfriend! That's the problem with you, you get jealous easily. I was just taking a picture with a fan, you cried. Don't you trust me?" I shouted. Her eyes widened as she shook her head vigorously.

"Niall, of course I trust you" Claire said softly.

"Well it certainly doesn't seem like you do. But I know that I don't. Remember when you told her that you'll rip her throat out? Yeah, were over" I said as I stood up and opened the door for her.
