So we had made our way to what the human's call 'time square' and it made me gasp at all the bright colours vibrating from the adverts on the buildings. It was beautiful, no matter how busy it was with all the people walking amok surging from stairways that led from crowded 'subways'. Loki, acted as my guide since he had seen the whole city from above. He next took me to the top of the 'Empire State building' where I could see the whole city from above, spotting a tower with the letter 'A' glowing on the side of its balcony. "That's where the avengers live, isn't it?" I asked him pointing at the building. My arm wrapped around his since I was freezing up there. Turning away from the view of the heroes building Loki, walked back down the stairs that led to the 'elevator', not waiting for me to catch up.

Next we visited 'Central Park' and I can easily say it was the best part of the day. I heard a sound similar to elephant's feet charging through the forest and I walked towards the sound, Loki calling my name softly behind me as I was focused on the strange sound and only that. When I got to the centre of the park I spotted a band of sorts of people banging on what looked like containers with animal skin stretched tightly on top of it. When their hands collided with the instrument it would make a sound that reminded me of a heartbeat. "Those are called drums." Loki informed me as he watched me cock my head to the side at the sight of them, confusion settling into my eyes. "'Drums'" I repeated the word, liking the sound of them.

When I observed people starting to dance in front of the band I started to get utterly confused, I hadn't seen dancing before, but I somehow remember it. "Would you like to dance?" Loki offered that perfect hand to me, standing before me he seemed to make all the problems in my life fade away, even if he was one of them sometimes. "I don't know how." I mumbled pathetically. He grabbed my hand anyway and pulled me towards the now developing crowd of moving bodies. "I'll show you then." His hands found their way to my hips and guided me to the beat of the drums. I was too busy blushing and concentrating on Loki's footing to notice that he was smiling crazy at me. I stood on his toe and he let out a pained gasp. "Ohmigosh! I'm sorry Loki!" I said cupping his cheek, he stared into my eyes and before his stare got too intense for him to share with me I looked away, smiling like a love drunk fool.

"That was amazing! I still need to get the hang of...'dancing', but I loved it all the same. "I told him as we walked back through the park, he was staring at me, joy filling his eyes. I looked into his emerald orbs and smiled as that pink tinge came back to his cheeks, even if it didn't match his disguise's complexion. "Why are you staring at me like that?" I asked him, he looked up from his shoes to meet my eyes and suddenly looked back down. 'Was I making a God nervous?' I asked myself in my head, he mumbled something loud enough for me to hear "You look so beautiful..." his words hit the midday breeze and made everything stand still. Did he just call me beautiful? I could feel my cheeks burn a crimson red as he looked back up at me, red flooding into his cheeks as he saw my reaction. "I didn't mean to make you nervous." He apologised as a shiver settled down my spine. His gaze making me feel like a cornered gazelle, about to be slaughtered by a predator.

I was about to reply to his apology when a feeling settled in the air and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. The park had suddenly gone quiet, no birds singing, no bugs moving in the grass, not even any strangers walking through the dirt paths. I looked around the park panic settling in the pit of my stomach. "Mairi? What's the matter?" his silky voice breathed onto my shoulder. "Something's coming." I stated into the too silent air, ripping the ancient bangle from my wrist. My ears grew back to the top of my head and I could hear something marching down the path, this was no ordinary stranger. I snatched Loki's hand and dragged him to the nearest tree. His disguise melted away, showing his raven hair whipping behind him as my speed got the better of me.

When we were in the tree, I was perched to kill, facing away from Loki. I was staring daggers at the dirt path, waiting for the stranger to come into my view. Loki was hesitant of asking what I was doing, but he was aware of the look in my eye. Suddenly the stranger came jogging out of the woods, a cap perched on his head while his blonde hair bloomed out of the sides of his head. He was well built, almost too well built. "That's the captain of America, isn't it?" I whispered to Loki, letting my stare settle on his alarmed green eyes. I was so focused on Loki that I had not noticed the crack that was developing in between us on the tree branch...until I fell off of the tree all together.

Free falling isn't a very good feeling if it's unplanned. But it's kinda okay if you land face first on the ground only a couple seconds later. It felt like I had broken my nose but it didn't hurt after I lifted my face off of the ground. Only to be greeted by the stranger. My first instinct was to hiss at him, but that would be just terrible. So I rose up on my feet, he stared at me like I had just bitten his arm with no explanation, which is what I will do if he doesn't speak now. "Who- What are you?" he asked me. Confidence riddled throughout him. "My name is Mairi...that is all I should tell you." I didn't say anything, I just held the bangle too close to my skin and it made a circular imprint on my palm. "Mairi...you should come with me...do you have anything to do with the weird marks in the forest?" he kept on questioning me. I shook my head, briefly remembering the imprint we had made where we landed. He reached out for my arm but I immediately backed away. "Look, I just want to ask you some questions..." he didn't get the chance as I jumped towards the tree, landing into Loki's arms and teleporting back to the hotel room.

"What were we thinking? Of course, S.H.I.E.L.D would be crawling all over once somebody saw something! It was probably the beam...No it was the beam!" Loki had been ranting like this for the last five minutes while I have been sitting on the bed, pondering things. Then my stomach growled violently, Loki turned towards me like I had just smacked him. "Loki..." I mumbled as the hunger pain settled in. "Of course, we should go out and eat." As Loki said this he turned into his cowboy form and I wrapped the bangle round my wrist. When we got out of the hotel, the sun seared into my vision, causing me to lose sight of Loki completely. "Here..." Loki placed something in my hand that felt like...glasses? I placed them over my vision and saw Loki standing in front of me with a matching pair covering his majestically green eyes. "Loki...I'm a hybrid of a predator...I can't eat in a restaurant, I need to hunt." I whispered as I walked closer towards him, away from the crowds of people walking to and from places around us. "Come closer." I didn't know what he was thinking but I did as I was asked, he then teleported us to what looked like a mountain range.

"Where are we?" I asked him turning away from him before things could get awkward. "Somewhere wild." He stated simply. We were on the verge of an untamed forest, nature and wild life living all around us. I turned towards him giving him a look that made him feel a bit insignificant. "I don't want you to watch me hunt...it can get a bit...gruesome." I chose my words carefully. "I will stay here." He sat on a rock behind him, casually turning back into...Loki. "I'll be back." I assured him, handing him the bangle after taking it off. I then turned into a lion and ran into the forest.

My sense of smell can become a bit complicated when I'm in a place full of life...the ground underneath me, even lifeforms are living in that, regular people are just not aware of it. But I am so much more. When I'm hunting, I enter my own world, I can see, hear, smell, taste, feel, everything I come into contact with so much better. I become a wild beast, my heartbeat controls me...my needs become my wants. I stopped in the middle of a clearing to spot something peculiar...a mountain lion. I was in the form of an African lion, but being something much more wild, it's possible for me to murder other animals of my species for my own crucial needs. That can become a problem sometimes...especially with humans, even if I have only known about their existence for a while. They are made of meat and blood, it is overwhelming to be around them with hunger lingering in my senses. The mountain lion changed its footing at the sight of me, I changed into my natural form and charged at it, not giving it a chance to run from me.

When I came back through the forest and to my senses, I realised something. I was completely naked. Yes, having fur keeps me warm, but it doesn't conceal...everything. "Loki? Loki!" I shouted from behind a bush...if he was going to help me, he better not see me. No response whatsoever. I went back to where I had left him, nowhere to be found, what I did find was my clothes, still in one piece...luckily. "LOKI!!!" I screamed throughout the whole forest. That was when I heard the sound of a thousand bird's screeches and something unfamiliar...something dangerous. I ran away from the sound but fear coursing throughout my body was making it hard for me to change form. That was when I made it to the cliff face, and a large metal bird flew in front of me. I have never been so terrified in my whole life. A woman with red hair was driving it and she was wearing a jet black jumpsuit, the captain of America was next to her. Thor was sitting behind them with an unconscious Loki lying in the back. Before I could do anything, something like a bullet was shot at me, I spotted the red feather thing attached to it before it implanted its sharp tip in my arm.
