You + Me= what?

I spent the night with my tutor?!

I automatically hold on tighter and shut my eyes. I can't really feel the wind, but I am still freezing. I feel the bike swerve in out between cars. I glance around and I see the familiar sign of my road. I close my eyes again as he speeds up. I feel the bike slow down and eventually stop. Hunter pulls my arms off of him and stands up. I stand up slowly and my legs are really wobbly and I almost fall but Hunter steadies me. "I don't know if I should thank you are slap you" I say and he smiles. Like a genuine smile that shows his left dimple. "Thank you" I say and he nods. I walk towards the door and notice that my mom's car is gone. I try to open the front door, but it's locked. "Crap" I say and I see Hunter look at me. "Is everything ok?" he asks. "No, my mom is not here the door is locked, and my key and phone is in the house" I say and sit down on the step. "Is your mom at work or something?" he asks and walks towards me. "Yeah, probably" I say. "You can use my phone" he says. "No, I don't know her work number, and she won't answer her cellphone" I say. "You can always go back to Ashley's" he says. "That's a thirty minute drive and Ashley is probably already in bed" I say. "You can go I will just stay here till mom gets home" I say. "No way. I'm not going to leave" he says. "She probably won't be home till like 2" I say. "Fine" he stands up, but he doesn't seem mad. "Come on" he says and pulls me up. "What?" I ask him. "We can go to my house" he says. "No, no. I will..." I say. "You can just hang out there until you think your mom will be home" he says. "Ok, but I really hate that death trap" I say and he laughs. "Well it's the only way to get to my house" he says and puts the helmet back on me.

Five minutes later we are at a mansion. A legit mansion. "Holy crap" I say and stare at the house and then back at Hunter. "You didn't tell me you where rich" I say and he shrugs. "You never asked" he says. "I never would have guessed. You seem so non-richish" I say. "Real smooth" he says and grabs my arm and pulls me up the steps. "Wait" I say and he stops. "I'm wearing sweatpants and a sweatshirt, and I am fixing to walk in a mansion" I say. "Thank you for that captain obvious" he says and continues to pull me inside. As soon as we get inside Hunter yells "Mom, I'm home." I see a blonde women in a business suit walk down the steps. "Hunter you didn't tell me you was bringing someone" she says. "It was a last minute thing" he says and she looks over at me. "And what is your name, darling?" she asks me. "Kate" I say and she smiles. "How lovely" she says. "Thank you" I say and Hunter pulls me away. "We are going upstairs mom" he says. "Ok, nice to meet you Kate" she says as Hunter pulls me away. "Nice to meet you too" I say right before I am probably out of earshot. "Where are we going?" I ask. "To my room" he says. I have a mini heart attack. Even though I don't know what all the girls in our school say is true, it's hard not to freak out when the "player" is pulling me to his room. "Maybe I can call Ashley and ask for my mom's work number" I say and he looks back at me. "What people say at school isn't true. None of it. Not even one word" he says and looks genuinely upset. "How did you know that's what I was thinking?" I ask. "Because if you really thought Ashley had your mom's number you would have thought of it earlier" he says. He is about to open the door when a little girl starts running down the hall towards us. "Hunter" she says and jumps into his arms. "Hey Bridget" he says as he catches her and stands up still holding her. You can obviously tell they are related brown hair and blue eyes. She looks over at me. "Who's that" she asks as Hunter and points to me. "This is my friend Kate. Why are you not in bed?" he asks her and she looks down at her bare feet. "You wasn't home and I don't like going to sleep without you saying goodnight" she says. "I called you and told you" he says and lifts her chin so she is looking at him. "It's not the same" she says. "Ok, well let's go put you in bed" he says and goes to grab her hand. "No, I want to stay up and hang out with you and Kate" she says and smiles at me. "It's really late though" he says. "I don't care" she says and pucks her bottom lip out. He glances back at me and I smile and crouch down beside Bridget. "Hi" I say. "Hi" she says and looks up at Hunter. "Fine, but you can't tell mom or dad" he says and she smiles at me. I stand up and Hunter opens up the door in front of us.
