"Are you sure you're able to drive? Are you feeling better?" she looked at me.
"Yes, Nani. I'm fine I promise."
I pulled out of the drive and drove the SUV out of the housing complex and proceeded onto the main road and headed towards Dunkin Donuts as we do almost every morning. Some mornings I start my day with a nice luxurious breakfast that Nani makes for me. She makes me the usual, eggs, with bacon or sausage, toast, and home fries, and coffee to drink. That's mostly on the weekends because we barely have time for all that cooking when we have to be ready for school and work. Sometimes I make it for myself if she's busy getting ready for work and I happen to have no school or I'll head to Dak's house and eat there.
After being on the road for five minutes we finally arrived at the best coffee place ever! Dunkin Donuts. I love going there every morning. It's funny that whenever we go there the lady that's there always has our same order ready for us, and then from DD's she takes me to Linbourne High School if I don't drive. There I have the best time ever with my friends. I know everyone is going to be talking about the wild party last night. I was still having a massive headache from all the drinking there was. Four beers and three shots of... I don't remember. I wished Dak was there, he always looked out for me and would have stopped me from getting drunk and he would have saved me this headache.
I pulled into the school's driveway and as always there is no one here. I looked at my watch and noticed that it was six thirty-two in the morning. I'm the only kid on campus, beside a few others that I don't know, probably the school nerds with their Pokémon cards and whatnot. None of my friends are even here. Sometimes, like now, I'm the only one here; the only cool kid, yet shy and lonely, but cool, here. Sometimes one of them will show up early.
"Bye Sweetie pie, I'll see you when you get home okay?" she said getting out switching to the driver's seat.
"Bye Nani. Love you, have a great day at work." I said smiling to her.
"You too my love!" as she slowly drove away.
I walked past the giant doors that enclose our massive school and Most of the time it's just random people and its mid-November and its already starting to get cold. I love the cold because it's so nice out rather than the hot dry air. I really love the wa-
"BOO!"
"Oh God! Dammit Jace don't scare me like that when I'm drinking my coffee. I almost spilled it everywhere..."
"Aw I'm sorry Brad. I didn't mean to do that. Hey have you seen Dakota or Kimberly, or anyone." As she bumps into me back and forth while I'm drinking.
"No I haven't..." This woman loves to disturb me from drinking my special drink. "Why? Do you need to tell them something important?"
"Oh, well how's your morning?"
"Good until I almost spilled it everywhere. Quit bumping into me every time I go to take a sip!"
"I'm sorry geez. I'm just bored that we're the only ones here."
I was continuously taking small sips of my coffee as we walk over to stand near some support beams outside of one of the buildings that stopped rain from falling over on top of people.
"Well... today is going to be very cold. And I'm nice and toasty."
"Yeah, I wish I had a hot coffee... and a warm jacket."
"Hehe, its Dak's. He left it in my house Saturday. It's nice and cozy."
"Why do I have a feeling you low-key like him? There's nothing wrong if you do Brad. We all support you if you are." She said putting hand on my right shoulder. "Ever since you came out to us, to me, I can see that you may like him."
