Our first period is AP World History, the easiest class ever of all time. Mr. Smyen is the best teacher ever! He's really cool and a really nice teacher. He teaches really well. Probably one of the best teachers I've had. Dakota and I sit together side by side in the front of the class, I'm to his right. Emilia and Sara sit on opposite sides of the class room; Emilia being to my right, and Sara on my left and alone. One thing that bothers me about this classroom is the position of the class room. The desks aren't really centered like they're supposed to be. So like I'm actually closer to Emilia than I am to Sara. Our desks are in the center along with other people but with the design of the room we're shifted off to the right instead of being smack down in the middle; which really gets on my nerves because I have OCD.
Mr. Smyen lets us talk in the class a lot as long as we get out work done and are on task. We're his favorite class, hence we're AP and we are productive. The only time he doesn't allow us talk is when he's up teaching, or taking a test or a quiz, but that's a given. Even then if he's up teaching Emilia and I pass notes sometimes only when we're ahead with notes and stuff. Dakota really gets into it. I myself love history. But once I complete all my work and ahead and can't move on, I don't know what to do. And then there's Sara, who's always alone on the far side of the classroom.
"Hey Brad, do you have the papers on Denmark? About the economic system that they use?" Dakota said.
"Yes I do. Let me get it for you." I began to search for my big spiral notebook in my massive arsenal for school.
So for the past week we've been researching a country or state that we don't live in, researching its history from the past and present. Dakota wanted to work with me so we did and we chose Denmark because why not. We started on Friday to gather minor information about the place and finish it today. Then we'll continue on Wednesday or Thursday on the whole project itself finishing it for real.
"Here you go Dakota. Everything that you need is in there from their economy, to their government system." I said.
"Thank you Brad."
He took the notebook and as he was doing it he gave me that half smile that you would give to your boyfriend or girlfriend. Whenever he does something like that, like flip his hair as he looks at me, I get a little red. Now I'm starting to develop more feelings for him. All I need to do is tell him. That I like him! But I can't.
"You're welcome. I'm going to setup my laptop and begin researching their living style." I said moving to an empty desk.
Yes I bring my laptop with me to school. It's my school laptop, not gaming. I use it in major classes that would require it. When I took it out I powered it on and it launched immediately, and began to look more into their ways of living on the official Denmark website ran by their government. I'm really fascinated by Denmark. I've never been there before but I've always wanted to go. I've seen pictures of the country and it seems so beautiful. Denmark is on my top ten places that I must visits one day. One day I'll go to Denmark and see the breath taking land.
"Brad is this the count of the country's population right there?" Dak asked.
"Um, no its not. That's the total average of the amount of people in Denmark by population and tourist. I'm looking for their total population right now. If I'm correct it should be around seven million. I'm having trouble looking for it at the moment, school's internet is slow." I said while focusing on the laptop.
"I can look for it if you organize the mess you made with your notes; you did quite a lot of researching." He said as he laughs and gets closer to me.
"Sure thing, I did a lot at home for minor details. You should know that Dakota, you of all people. I always go above and beyond with my work. So have you decided on if we should do this on a Prezi or on a trifold? I'm good with anything, the only down fall is that we'll need multiple tri-folds."
