Kayla's POV
"Okay, so, what are you doing for Christmas?" I asked, sitting on Cheyenne and Harry's bed. Niall and Harry were downstairs, putting luggage in Harry's rover.
"Um," she said, slightly confused, looking in the almost full suitcase. "Harry's taking me for a week with mom and Kevin, and Jaren and Alexis are going to be there. Then we're going to come spend a week with his mom in Holmes Chapel."
"Oh,"
"What about you?"
I sighed. "I'm spending it with his family."
"Is that bad?"
"I'm nervous..."
She came and sat next to me on the bed. "Why? I'm sure they'll love you,"
I smiled. "Thanks for the confidence," I said, "no, it's not that, it's..."
"What?"
I looked at her. She already knew. She just wanted me to tell her. I sighed. "His step dad,"
"I knew it,"
"I don't know why I'm so...ugg..."
"Have you told Niall?"
I shook my head. "I don't know when I'm going to tell him,"
"You're going to have to eventually,"
"I know, that's the problem..."
She reached over and moved me so I laid my head on her shoulder. I sighed and didn't complain. It made me feel better when she listened to me. She has gotten better at giving advice, too. She stopped caring for a while, but she got back in the habit of listening, caring and giving good advice, and she was really good at it. I sighed again and sat up.
"You need to keep your phone on," I said.
"Cross my heart, except on the plane, if that's fine."
"Duh, I don't want you crashing,"
"M'kay,"
"I'll call or text you if anything bad happens,"
"I'll keep an eye out,"
Harry walked in and Niall behind him. "Ready?"
"Kind of," she said, getting up and walking over to him, taking his hand and looking down into the suitcase.
"You don't need much, babe, it's only a week,"
"But we're not coming back to the house before we go to your mom's, right?"
"We can, but I'd rather not,"
"Okay,"
Niall's phone went off as he walked toward me. "Hello?" He asked as he sat down and pulled me into his lap. "Yeah?....Okay, we'll be there in a bit." He hung up and kissed me on the cheek. "That was Greg, he's at the house with Denise and Theo, and he says we're wanted there as soon as possible."
I sighed. "Okay," I smiled and stood up.
Cheyenne zipped up the bag at her feet and Harry picked it up.
"Is that it?" He asked.
She looked around and nodded. "Think so...hope so,"
He laughed and lugged the suitcase out of the room. Cheyenne followed him, and Niall took my hand as we walked downstairs and out of the house.
"Are we just going to stay at your mom's for the week?" I asked.
"Um, yeah,"
"Alright,"
