•know yourself
make sure that you know what you can and can't do. never push yourself to the point where it hurts and you begin to feel stressed. it's okay to push yourself, but within limits.
•keep a journal
using a fitness journal will allow you to keep track of intake of calories, exercises with times+sets you do. in the journal you can even write motivational quotes and put in pictures.
•reward yourself

•keep a jar
on those days where you don't do anything or what you consider a "cheat day," put money into a jar. having to put and keep money in the jar will make you want to work to prevent the loss of money.
