Chapter 2

*beep beep beep*
Oh shit!! I'm late for school. Why didn't I go to sleep earlier it's my first day!! Shit I hope I don't get in trouble. I get on the subway and I arrived at the stop were the school is. I hurry and run in school but I ran into someone.
"Oh crap.... Are you okay?!?!"
"Yeah yeah I'm okay"
"Are you new here?"
"Yeah I'm new, hi I'm maya"
He's really cute and he has a nice smile
"Hi I'm Lucas"
He gave me a huge smile and I smile back at him and I hear someone call his name
"Lucas! I was looking for you!"
Right in front of me there was a girl.
"You said you were going to meet me!"
"Sorry but I just meet the new girl"
"Umm sorry who is your girlfriend here?!"
"Stop it misty I don't know why your being so rude?!"
"Let's go!!!"
She drags him by the arm, she seems so annoying I feel so sorry for him. Well where am I supposed to go? On my schedule it says history with Mr. Matthews class room Z12. Z12 here I go while I look through the classroom I see that guy named Lucas.
"Hi can I help you?"
" oh sorry I'm the new student my name is maya"
"Welcome maya, if you mind can you take a seat?"
"Yes sir"
I took a seat next to Lucas because well that's the only seat opened.
"Hi"
"Hi"
As I said with a smile Mr. Matthews  talking about history how boring. My face expression is so blank I hate history.
"Haha you bored?"
"Yes so bored"
"New girl do you have a comment?"
Umm no I don't why you ask.
"No sir"
Class is over I don't know where to go. So I spent the day looking for my class no one is helpful in this school. I was late to my three other classes. But I'm glad school over. As I was walking to the subway I notice someone driving a car next to me
"Hey maya! Right?"
"Hi yeah it is"
It was Lucas I got scared for a minute.
"Would you like a ride?"
"Umm...sure why not?
I hopped into his bmw it's really nice in there.
"So maya, where you move here from?"
"I use to live in Oregon, my dad work transferred to New York"
"Oh I forgot where do you live?"
" I live in Brooklyn by the maverick"
"Okay it's hard I never been in this part of town"
That's not hard to believe. All my life I grew up having nothing, my parents was always at work. I was left to defend for myself. I never told anyone that because it makes me sad.
"Hey maya did you hear me?"
"Oh sorry what you say?"
"There this party happening tomorrow. So I was wondering...,Would you want to come?"
"Yeah I that sounds fun"
I'm new so that sounds like a great way to make friends and my parents aren't going to be home so why not. He dropped me off at my apartment.
"Well thank you Lucas"
"Your welcome see you tomorrow!" With a smile on his face. And me smiling back at him
I go upstairs to my apartment and of course my parents aren't home again. I'm just going to do my homework because there's nothing else to do. Lucas is really cute but why is my heart feeling like this?
